American football star Travis Kelce is believed to have spent a staggering seven-figure sum on fiancée Taylor Swift’s engagement ring.
The A-list couple confirmed their engagement with a joint Instagram post, sharing five photos of the milestone moment, including a close-up of the dazzling sparkler.
Prominent jewellers in the US have valued the ring at around $US1 million ($AU1.54 million), a figure backed by experts in Australia.

According to Talitha Cummins, founder of The Cut Jewellery, the ring is approximately 10ct old mine cut diamond, set in yellow gold with an engraved band.
“Old mine cuts are gaining popularity, we get a lot of inquiries for these. They were traditionally cut by hand and were quite misshapen as a result,” Cummins explained.
“They have large facets and sparkle differently to a typical brilliant cut. Believe it or not, you can also get them lab-grown these days.”
Cummins praised the piece, reportedly designed by Kelce himself, “I think it’s a beautiful ring. It’s bold and elegant with an intricate, detailed band, it’s perfectly suited to her.”
Rare Carat CEO Ajay Anand told Page Six he appraised the ring at roughly $US1 million, depending on colour and clarity, calling it “nothing less than what you’d expect for Taylor Swift.”
Laura Taylor, engagement ring specialist at Lorel Diamonds, said the cut, “[gives] the ring a dreamy, romantic feel that suits Taylor’s signature style perfectly.”
“This style feels exactly right for Taylor. It stands out from the typical celebrity engagement rings we’ve seen in recent years. The old mine cut, the engraved band, and the warm tone of the gold create something that feels a lot more personal and timeless, worlds away from the minimalist platinum styles worn by many in Hollywood,” she added.

Their Instagram announcement, captioned “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married”, quickly went viral, attracting more than 18 million likes within four hours.
For the shoot, Swift wore a blue Polo Ralph Lauren dress, while Kelce sported a navy cable-knit sweater from the same brand.
This significant chapter comes as Swift prepares to release her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, due out October 3. She first announced the project in August 2025 on Kelce’s podcast.
