Guy Sebastian’s new pad has come under fire previously, but that didn’t seem to phase  The Voice  judge when he invited a number of contestants on a grand tour of his mansion.

Located in the beachside suburb of Maroubra in Sydney, the contemporary style home ruffled a few feathers amongst his neighbours as they labelled the property as a “nightmare”.

“He’s got a lot of money and we’re only little people. He’s not building a house; he’s building a fortress!” a frustrated neighbour told the media last year.

Many of the residents surrounding the house are confused as to why the musician would want to knock down a traditional brick home for a modern slab of concrete.

But neighbours have the right to be exasperated, as construction for the $3.1 million property  has been ongoing, and upon looking at it, still seems to appear incomplete.

However, despite the pent-up rage, everyone has wanted to take a look inside and thanks to Wednesday night’s episode of  The Voice, viewers were treated to a mini tour of the  Australian Idol  winner’s  not-so-humble abode.

In true Guy fashion, the interior of the home was similar to the exterior, with the colour palette featuring monochromatic shades of black and grey. Former House Rules judge and architect  Joe Snell is the man behind  the modern design and vision.

The fixtures appeared to be matte black with plenty of potted plants and greenery set up in and outside of the home to give a more zen atmosphere.

Guess only time will tell how Guy manages his relationship with his exasperated neighbours.
