Her Majesty turns 95 on Wednesday and it will be the first time in seven decades that she spends it without Prince Philip.
Her Majesty said goodbye to her husband to rest in a ceremony at St George’s Chapel, with just 30 guests.
It’s expected that the monarch will spend her special day quietly, surrounded by royal staff members.
It is reported that Prince Harry is staying back in the UK to be with her grieving grandmother.
While the Duke of Sussex was due back in California to be with his pregnant wife, Meghan, and their son Archie – it is understood the royal is choosing to stay with the Queen until her 95th birthday.

Prior to the death of Prince Philip, the Queen was set to mark her special day with a new portrait.
However, the plan has since been cancelled due to an official period of mourning.
The Mirror has reported that the family have implemented a rota system to ensure the Queen has endless support this week.
Official national mourning ended at 8 am local time on Sunday, although the royal family will remain in mourning until Thursday.
There will also be no gun salute to mark the Queen’s birthday.
Traditional salutes at Hyde Park and Tower of London have also been cancelled.
Report claims that peace talks between Prince William, Prince Charles and Prince Harry has only had positive outcomes as the Duke of Sussex now plans to stay back with his family until Thursday.
