David Campbell has taken to Instagram to thank healthcare workers for looking after his son on the weekend.
David shared several photos of him and his six-year-old son Billy in Royal North Shore Hospital, praising those who cared for him after an accident.
“Thanks to all the nurses and staff at Royal North Shore Hospital for taking care of Billy and his hand,” the Today Extra host wrote.

“He cut it on oysters and rocks on a walk. He is all better and was very brave.”
David’s father and Australian music icon Jimmy Barnes commented, “Little guy”, as hundreds of well-wishers added get well soon messages to the post.
The post comes just hours after David shared photos of all of his family together celebrating his 48th birthday.
He shared a smiley post of his family, captioning the moment with, “48. Feeling gr8! Surrounded by the most important people in my life. So lucky.”

Six-year-old Billy has made national headlines before, after his father revealed the family believes he is the reincarnation of the late Princess Diana.
Queensland-based psychic medium Peter Williams confirmed the family’s suspicions, saying, “What usually happens when we have these instances of reincarnation, there is usually a reason for it and something left over.”
“Billy will be able to give clarity and recall memories [from his time as Princess Diana]. It is very much in the realm [of possibility] that he could recall memories of the crash.”
