Prince Harry will walk alongside his brother Prince William during their grandfather’s funeral, reports say.

It appears the strained relationship between the siblings will be set aside during the funeral of Prince Philip, as they honour his life and his legacy.

Reports claim the brothers will stand with their father Prince Charles, 72, behind the coffin of Prince Philip.

The late Duke of Edinburgh will be transported in a specially modified Land Rover for the procession.

It is a touching gesture that will remind the world of the heartbreaking moment at Princess Diana’s funeral, where the brothers walked behind her coffin, alongside Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Charles Spencer.

It is said that the Duke of Edinburgh was worried his grandsons might regret not following Diana’s cortège, and so told them the night before the funeral ”I’ll walk if you walk”.

Prince Harry was expected back in Britain on Sunday to ensure he could still undergo funeral preparations in alignment with coronavirus isolation rules.

The royal was alone on the 10-hour flight from California to London, as his wife, Meghan, was advised not to fly due to her high-risk pregnancy.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman has refused to comment on whether Prince Harry would take part in the funeral officially, but details have seemed to continue to emerge.

It may be an awkward and somber reunion however, as Prince Harry recently told Oprah in an interview that his brother was “trapped” in his royal role.
