Pink has spoken out on the that rumours she and husband Carey Hart split after 20 years of marriage.

According to a source cited by People on Thursday (US time), the 46-year-old singer and her husband, a 50-year-old former professional motocross racer, have separated again.

The pair share two children, daughter Willow Sage, 14, and son Jameson Moon, nine.

Pink took to Instagram shortly after to set the record straight.

“So I was just alerted to the fact that I’m separated from my husband. I didn’t know,” she began in the video.

“Thank you for letting me know. Would you also like to tell our children? My 14-year-old and my 9-year-old are also unaware.”

Pink then asked if the publications would like to talk about some “real news”, suggesting a few topics currently in the headlines.

“Or do you want to talk about the fact that I got nominated, the first year I was eligible, for the Rock and Roll motherf–king Hall of Fame,” she continued.

“Do you want to talk about my accomplishments, or do you only want to talk about my supposed demise?”

The singer ended her video by telling fans that it was “fake news” telling media outlets to “do better”.

In the caption of the post, Pink wrote: “Like I always say. If you don’t hear it from me, don’t believe the hype. Stay tuned though! Who knows what could happen next!?!”

Pink first met her husband at the 2001 Summer X Games in Philadelphia.

They dated on and off, with Carey proposing in 2005, and a year later tied the knot in Costa Rica.

Two years later, the couple announced they had separated, but remained amicable.

They eventually got back together the following year after attending couples counselling.

“Sometimes you have to take a couple of steps backwards to move forward,” she told People at the time.

In June 2011 they welcomed their first child together, daughter Willow, and in 2016 they welcomed Jameson.
