A fuming Pauline Hanson defended her campaigning record after being accused of not campaigning properly in Queensland.

She got into a row with senator Murray Watt and said that the media had not properly covered her campaign, which Watt laughed at.

“You actually spoke very highly of me,: she furiously told the politician, “of the work I do as a senator, and you gave me credit for what I do for Queensland.”

“I think you must be thinking of a different person there,” he replied, grinning at his co-hosts off camera.

It was this quip that set Hanson  off, as she started getting aggressive towards the camera.

“You know damn well you said it so don’t back out of it. You cannot blame me for passing good legislation,” she said.

“You’re embarrassed, and so you should be. What a load of rubbish Murray.”

Mr Watt quickly fired back: “I think all of Australia would be shocked to hear that, Pauline.”

The pair continued to talk over each other before Watt questioned the safety of her Senate seat.

“You’ve only got seven per cent of the vote… don’t you need at least 14 to keep your senate seat?” he questioned.

Senator Hanson chuckled to herself and responded: “Wouldn’t you love to think that, Murray”.

“Don’t worry I’ve got another two years in there.”

Voters in Queensland claimed that Senator Hanson had drawn less attention to her One Nation Party than she had in previous state and federal polls, but Hanson declared that she was on the ground.

“I have actually travelled Queensland quite extensively,” she told Sky.

“The difference was you have local media that don’t have the people on the ground to cover when I was there, I didn’t have an entourage to follow me around.”

“We’ve put out press releases and policies we are pushing but they weren’t interested… the public didn’t have any idea,” she said.

“They didn’t give us the coverage that I believe that they should have.”
