Bunnings is rolling out free family events for Christmas at stores across Australia starting from tomorrow.
There will be plenty of activities for both kids and parents and each store will have its own lineup, with some of the activities have already confirmed.
In the Blue Mountains, the Katoomba store will put on a free sausage sizzle, while Mornington in Victoria will feature community market stalls.
Sydney’s Chatswood store will offer face painting and a petting zoo, and Penrith shoppers can look forward to bon bon making, snowflake photo frame decorating, and even pipes and drummers adding to the atmosphere.
Narrabeen customers will also be able to take Santa photos, including with pets.
Event times vary from store to store, with some running from 5pm to 7pm and others from 4pm to 6pm, so Bunnings encourages customers to check their local schedule online.
These Christmas events are part of Bunnings’ long-running tradition of hosting community days throughout the year, including celebrations for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Easter and Halloween.
Last year, more than 57,000 people took part in Bunnings’ Halloween events. The company’s chief operating officer, Ryan Baker, told Yahoo Lifestyle that these gatherings remain a core part of what the retailer strives to offer communities.
“Bunnings has always been about community, and we’re thrilled to provide a safe and family friendly experience for locals to come together and enjoy the thrills of Halloween,” he said.
The retailer also expands its product range for seasonal moments, with this year’s Halloween selection tripling to include animatronics, inflatables, pumpkins, lanterns and more.
“Lighting has also proven to be very popular among customers this year who are enjoying our solar stake and string lights,” Baker added.
