Alec Baldwin has been involved in a car accident with his brother, Stephen Baldwin, in the Hamptons.
In a video posted to Instagram, the 67-year-old actor confirmed the crash occurred while he was driving his wife’s car.
“This morning I was in this car accident a guy cut me off in a truck,” Alec said, adding that the vehicle was “the size of a whale.”
“To avoid hitting [the garbage truck] I hit a tree. I hit a big fat tree,” he continued.
Alec admitted he felt bad as the collision damaged his wife’s car, but reassured fans “it’s all fine and I’m fine and my brother’s fine.”
He also thanked the East Hampton Police Department for their assistance.
The incident was first reported by TMZ, who obtained footage from the scene.
The publication reported the brothers crashed head-first into a tree while driving a Range Rover in East Hampton, New York on Monday (Tuesday AEST).
Photos show Baldwin on the phone next to the car, its bonnet crumpled against a large tree and other footage showed the brothers standing in the rain, speaking with police officers.
Later, they were collected by another vehicle before the car was towed away.
