AFL player Rory Lobb and his partner Lexi have officially tied the knot in what fans are calling the “royal wedding” of the AFL world.
The Western Bulldogs star, 31, and Lexi, 26, an advertising executive, got married in an intimate church ceremony at St Peter’s Church in Toorak, Melbourne, after two years of planning.
Only 25 guests were invited to the ceremony, keeping it small and personal.
Lexi wore a stunning lace gown from Melbourne label Alin Le’ Kal, which featured long sleeves, a high neckline, and a full skirt. She had her hair slicked back in a bun and finished the look with a veil.
Rory looked sharp in a black tuxedo from Suit Vault, paired with Christian Louboutin shoes.
Later, at the reception at The Botanical in South Yarra, Lexi changed into a second dress, a nude gown with white lace, an off-the-shoulder neckline, a thigh-high slit, and a long train.
The venue was decorated with candles and lace, with their names embroidered into the table settings.
Lexi told the Herald Sun the wedding was originally meant to be held in February but was postponed to make sure everything went smoothly.
“We wanted to make sure it would be planned as well as it could be,” she said.
The couple first met in 2019, after Rory sent Lexi a message on Instagram. They got frozen yoghurt for their first date, a sweet memory that they honoured at the rehearsal dinner with a custom fro-yo station for guests.
At the time, Rory was playing for Fremantle, where Lexi’s stepfather, Steve Rosich, was the club boss. Her mum, Melissa Rosich, is also well known as a former CEO of the Victoria Racing Club.
The wedding isn’t the end of the celebrations. Rory and Lexi are now off on their honeymoon, with plans for a second destination wedding in the Maldives, where the AFL player proposed in November 2023.
