The family of a baby boy whose death was labelled by police as “suspicious” more than three weeks after he passed have broken their silence.
Beau Bradshaw was only six months old when he died earlier this month in Queensland.
On June 2, he and his family went to the beach.
A few hours later, paramedics were called to their East Mackay home with Beau unresponsive.
They treated him after discovering his brain was bleeding, and was transferred to Townsville Hospital, but passed away on June 4.
Detective Acting Inspector Mick Searle would not reveal what had made the police believe the death was suspicious.
“If there’s anyone in the community who has information in regards to this matter, to contact police as soon as they can,” he said.
He revealed that an autopsy had been performed and the results were pending.
Beau’s grandmother Joleen Pershouse described him as the “perfect little boy”.
“The best I could ever ask for. He is an angel now and taken too soon.”
She told 7NEWS there was “nothing suspicious about it”.
“Beau was healthy, happy, come from a big loving family.”
The family has no history of child safety.
