Rosy Loomba sadly plunged to her death in front of her family at a Grampians lookout in Victoria  over the weekend.

The 38-year-old mother is believed to have fallen after she climbed over a barrier to get a better photo, despite a number of warning signs urging visitors to stay behind the gates.

She tragically fell 80m from the Boroka lookout to her death.

Ms Loomba’s sister-in-law said she had come to Australia from India, the  Herald Sun  reported.

Tour guide Graham Wood revealed he was there just moments before the tragedy transpired.

“There was quite a number of people here, some even while we were here elected to climb out onto the ledge,” he said.

“I made comments to my customers that this happens all the time and one of these days someone’s gonna fall off.”

He said tourists ignore the warning signs constantly and daredevils are often seen at the lookout, having climbed over the barrier.

It took almost six hours for recovery operators and police to retrieve Ms Loomba’s body due to the steep terrain.
