A popular white wine has been recalled after undeclared allergens have been detected.

Noble Fellows Sauvignon Blanc 2021 Vintage 750mL was issued with a recall notice on Saturday by the Federal  Government’s statutory authority.

The  popular wine has  previously been  available for sale in BWS and Dan Murphy’s bottle shops  across the country and retails for $15.

Food Standards Australia and New Zealand have said that the recall is due to the unexpected  presence of an undeclared allergen,  being  sulphites.

The health authority says that customer who have an allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if  the wine is consumed.

“Consumers who have a sulphites allergy or intolerance should not consume this product and should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund,” the recall notice says.

The recall was issued  after the wine failed to adhere to legislation regarding allergies.

Australian legislation requires labels disclose that their product  contains  sulphites and limit  the amount permitted in wines.
