Almost a month after losing her only son, supermodel Cindy Crawford has shared a devastating tribute to the young man she says will be loved forever.
Cindy Crawford has spoken publicly for the first time about the death of her beloved son, Presley Gerber, sharing an emotional message of grief, love and gratitude nearly a month after his tragic passing.
The 60-year-old supermodel and her family have been mourning the loss of Presley, who died on September 20 at the age of just 27.
On Sunday, Crawford shared a black-and-white photograph of her son on Instagram, accompanied by a heartbreaking statement signed by herself, her husband Rande Gerber and their daughter Kaia.
“We are beyond heartbroken to lose our beloved son and brother,” the family wrote.
“We feel so blessed to have had Presley in our lives for 27 years. He is a sweet, beautiful soul who loved and is loved, now and forever.
“We are so proud of how he showed up in the world, with kindness and vulnerability.”
The family also expressed their gratitude to those who had reached out with messages of sympathy during the past few weeks.
“We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from so many who know and love our family and even strangers who feel our pain.”
Their message ended with a tender farewell.
“Til we meet again our sweet boy. We love you forever, Mom, Dad and Kaia.”
Presley, who followed his famous mother into modelling as a teenager, was found dead at a rehabilitation facility in Santa Monica, California.
Police have been investigating his death as a suspected overdose, although an official cause of death has not yet been determined.
The young model had previously spoken openly about his struggles with mental health and substance use, using his social media platform to encourage others to seek help and speak honestly about their own difficulties.
In a particularly poignant reminder of their close relationship, Crawford had celebrated Presley’s 27th birthday in July with a loving message.
“I’m so proud of the man you’ve become, but I’ll always see you as my little boy!” she wrote at the time.
Presley’s younger sister, 25-year-old model and actress Kaia Gerber, also shared a deeply personal tribute to her brother, describing the overwhelming difficulty of trying to find words for such an unimaginable loss.
In an emotional letter posted alongside childhood photographs, Kaia reflected on their lifelong bond and the painful reality of learning to live without him.
“I am learning how to love you when I cannot see you,” she wrote.
Kaia admitted that despite reading books about grief, she had found no answers to help her understand the magnitude of losing her brother.
But amid the heartbreak, she expressed a love so profound that she would willingly experience their entire life together again, even knowing how it would end.
“I would walk knowingly toward this grief if it meant that on the other side of it i got to be your sister.”
She ended her tribute with words that captured both the devastating finality of his death and the unmistakable affection between the siblings.
“my darling brother, i do adore you,” she wrote.
“i love my brother. my brother is dead. and this party sucks so bad without you, prez.”
For Crawford and her family, the past month has brought a loss no parent or sibling should have to endure.
And while their grief remains immeasurable, their first public words have offered a moving glimpse of the young man they knew beyond the cameras and celebrity headlines: a much-loved son and brother whose kindness, vulnerability and memory will remain with them forever.
