Elderly woman fights for life after being winched from cruise ship
<p>An elderly woman is fighting for her life in hospital after being transported by a rescue helicopter from a cruise ship, off the NSW coast.</p>
<p>On Tuesday afternoon, the Westpac Life Saver Rescue helicopter was called to the Sea Princess ship for a passenger who required urgent recovery and transport.</p>
<p>A Westpac Life Saver Rescue spokesperson confirmed to <a href="https://au.news.yahoo.com/a/39493868/rescue-helicopter-for-sea-princess-cruise-passenger-coffs-harbour/" target="_blank"><em><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Yahoo 7</span></strong></em></a> that the woman was winched from the ship and transported to the Gold Coast University hospital in a critical condition.</p>

<p>The exact details of the woman’s condition have not yet been reported, but the spokesman confirmed that she suffered a medical condition because of some form of bleeding.</p>
<p>The rescue helicopter arrived at the hospital shortly after 4pm.</p>
<p>It has been reported that ship cruise passengers were asked to make blood donations to assist the passenger. </p>
