George Clooney surprises fan in care home
<p>George Clooney stole a moment away from his busy life to make a special visit to a fan in a care home over the weekend.</p>
<p>The <em>Ocean’s Eleven</em> star made resident of Sunrise Senior Living of Sonning, Pat Adams', dreams come true by giving her a surprise visit for her 87<sup>th</sup> birthday.</p>
<p>The surprise was made possible by the care home’s staff contacting him through the Wish upon a Star programme. The staff sent numerous letters and newsletters in the hope that George would make an appearance.</p>
<p>George who was without his wife Amal, made Pat’s birthday week truly unforgettable by greeting her with a bouquet of flowers and card.</p>
<p>A worker at the retirement and assisted living facility, Linda Jones, posted a picture of Pat and George together.</p>

<p>“The lady in the picture, loves George Clooney and mentions everyday how she would love him to meet him, especially as he lives so near to where I work. So letter have been sent asking would it be possible for her dream to come true. And what was extra special it was her birthday in the week,” Linda said.</p>
<p>Malcolm Hauge the Divisional Support General Manager at Sunrise Sonning said, “We are so delighted that Pat’s wish came true. She was absolutely thrilled to meet her great icon, and it was such a lovely surprise to see George greet her with flowers and a card. This was a classy gesture from a wonderful man, and it has brought smiles to everyone. Huge thank you to George.”</p>
<p>This special appearance comes as George and Amal prepare for the arrival of their twins. </p>
