"You will be a massive failure": Steve Price unleashes on Kyle Sandilands

The feud between Steve Price and Kyle Sandilands has taken a new turn, as Price unleashed on Sandilands over the launch of The Kyle and Jackie O Show in Melbourne.

The Project panel were discussing the show's first episode in the Victorian capital which was met with a mixed reception, given the use of coarse language.

Price took the discussion to the next level as he made it clear he is not a fan of the KIISFM show or its host.

“Kyle, last time I mentioned you on this program I called you a grubby buffoon. That was a compliment in hindsight,” Price said on Monday night's episode of The Project.

“That garbage you put to air this morning, sexualised rubbish, toxic, nobody should listen to it and you will be a massive failure in Melbourne.”

Price continued his tirade, accusing Sandilands of sending him a “threatening message” last November after his “grubby buffoon” comments, and he dared the KIIS FM star to “do it again”.

He ended the spray by saying, “I do note that you didn’t have the guts to sit down and do an interview with me to talk about your new radio show, perhaps because you’ve got the intellect of a cumquat”.

Sandilands responded to Price's comments live on air on Tuesday morning, taking aim at the co-host and the show at large.

“[The Project] is no good,” he said about the Channel 10 program. “It’s a piece of s**t”.

“No one watches it, and they don’t like us.”

As for Price's claims, Sandilands accused the fellow broadcaster of being “fake”, and claimed that Price sent a revealing note to his manager last month.

The note allegedly said, “I’m very aware Kyle and I have had some interesting whacks at each other over the years but as we know, it’s all part of the game.”

“See, I’m right, it is feigned outrage,” Sandilands said.

“Does he mean what he says or is he just full of s**t?”

Kyle and Jackie O tried to call Price on Tuesday morning to address their ongoing feud, but he didn’t answer.

Image credits: The Project / Instagram

Qantas announces massive overhaul of frequent flyer program

Qantas, Australia's flagship airline, has unveiled significant changes to its frequent flyer program in response to ongoing feedback from millions of members. The announcement, made at the airline's headquarters in Sydney, marks one of the most substantial expansions in the 35-year history of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.

During the event, Qantas CEO Vanessa Hudson, alongside Andrew Glance, the newly appointed Loyalty boss, outlined the updates to both the media and select members of the frequent flyer program. These changes aim to address longstanding concerns and enhance the overall experience for loyal customers.

A key highlight of the overhaul is the introduction of Classic Plus Flight Rewards, providing members with access to an additional 20 million reward seats for booking flights. Vanessa Hudson said that this expansion is a direct response to member feedback.

“The Qantas Frequent Flyer program is an integral part of Qantas and has always been about recognising our customers for their loyalty," Hudson said. "We’ve spent a lot of time listening to members about how we can better reward them . . . We’re adding over 20 million new flight rewards with the launch of a new type of reward seat called Classic Plus. It’s one of the biggest expansions we’ve made to the Frequent Flyer program in its 35-year history."

With Classic Plus Flight Rewards, frequent flyer members can now access sought-after destinations such as London, Tokyo, New York and Singapore with greater ease, even during peak travel periods. This substantial increase in available seats – 20 million annually compared to the previous 5 million – represents a significant advantage for members seeking to redeem their points for travel.

However, it's important to note that while Classic Plus Flight Rewards offer increased availability, they will require more points to book compared to the original program.

This announcement follows recent speculation about a major revamp of the frequent flyer program, with Qantas hinting at changes aimed at allowing customers to maximise the value of their points.

These changes come in response to feedback from program members, some of whom have voiced frustrations about the devaluation of points and difficulties in securing rewards seats.

Qantas' announcement of sweeping changes to its frequent flyer program signals a significant step in the airline's ongoing efforts to prioritise customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Images: Qantas

Ted Lasso star ordered to pay massive child support sum

Jason Sudeikis has been ordered to pay ex Olivia Wilde an enormous sum of child support, as a bitter two-year custody battle draws to a close.

According to new court filings obtained by Page Six, the Ted Lasso star has allegedly agreed to pay his ex $27,500 ($A42,800) per month in child support for their two kids, Otis, 9, and Daisy, 6.

The hefty settlement has been based on Sudeikis' reported 2023 income of $10.5 million ($A16.3 million) and Wilde’s estimated income of $500,000 ($A778,000).

“The parties agree that child support for the minor children in the amount of $27,500 per month is sufficient to maintain the needs of the minor children considering Jason’s station in life … is consistent with each child’s best interest, and application of the guideline would be unjust or inappropriate in this case,” the court papers reportedly state.

The legal proceedings began two years ago, and took a dramatic turn in 2022 when Wilde, who was promoting her new movie Don't Worry Darling at the time, was served legal papers while on stage delivering a speech at CinemaCon.

At the time, a source told Page Six that Wilde was mortified over the brazen act.

“It seemed unthinkable to her, and it took a moment to set in, but as mortifying as it was, she did not want to give a reaction,” the insider explained.

Since then, things have improved for the couple, as they were both seen putting on a united front at Otis' soccer game in LA.

Wilde and Sudeikis started dating in November 2011 and got engaged in January 2013. They welcomed their two kids before separating in November 2020.

Two massive music icons join the Yes Campaign

With three weeks to go before the nation votes to decide on whether the constitution should be changed to establish an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice, two music legends have joined the Yes campaign.

Australian singer Kamahl has flipped his initial No vote to a Yes within a week, after “sleepless nights weighing the pros and cons."

The singer took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share the reasons why he had a change of heart.

“I'm damned if Vote YES and I'll be damned if I Vote NO ! Having spent sleepless nights weighing the pros and cons, I'll be damned and I'll Vote YES !” he wrote.

“Coincidentally I was in ‘Journey out of Darkness’ in 1967 as the Aboriginal prisoner, just before THE Referendum”.

Just last week the music icon encouraged his followers to vote No in the referendum by changing the lyrics to John Farnham’s song You’re the Voice to “What’s the Voice, I just don’t understand it. It’s just noise and it’s not clear. Vote no-o-oh-oh, o-o-o."

“We’re not going to vote Apartheid. We don’t want one race privilege. Vote no-o-oh-oh," he sang.

The 88-year-old flipped his vote after meeting Indigenous comedian Dane Simpson and constitutional lawyer Eddie Synot and listening to their arguments.

“I’m embarrassed, until Monday or Tuesday I didn’t realise they (Indigenous people) were considered not human,” he said, after Simpson and Synot explained the voice to Kamahl.

“I can’t …For me, it is a heart and mind thing,” he said, while breaking down into tears.

The singer explained to Simpson and Synot that he was hesitant to speak up because he had "insufficient knowledge on how the whole thing works”.

In a sensational backflip on the issue, the singer also added that he hoped that "the right people with the right mind, heart, ability and knowledge make it a reality," and wished that there was a way of "doing it without looking like a race of people were being advantaged.”

“At the end of the day, I am here to help rather than hinder. If the Yes vote helps, then so be it,” he said.

“It is a positive thing to do. I don’t think I would achieve anything by voting No … if there is good I can do, I would rather do it than regret it another time.”

The Sounds of Goodbye singer is not the only one backing the Yes campaign. On the other side of the world, American rapper MC Hammer – famous for his number one hit song U Can't Touch This – has shared his support for the Yes campaign ahead of the Voice referendum.

“I’m with you. Australia it’s time. Repair the breach. #Yes2023,” the rapper tweeted.

The 61-year-old admitted that he didn't know what the Voice referendum was until one of his followers brought it up in a post shared on the platform.

“Australia has no treaty with its Indigenous people, and has done little in comparison to other British dominions like Canada, New Zealand and the United States to include and uplift its First Nations people,” he said.

He then quoted human rights lawyer Professor Megan Davis, one of the most central figures of the Yes campaign.

“A successful referendum will set a precedent that will be “really useful for other indigenous populations around the world in relation to recognition,” he quoted the human rights lawyer.

This comes just days after Cathy Freeman shared her stance on the Voice and asked Aussies to "stand together and to show our support for Australians who need it the most."

Images: Getty

Top End tourism surge after massive search for fake Aussie town

In an absolute boon to Top End tourism, it appears that Google users have been working overtime trying to locate a little slice of Northern Territory paradise known as Agnes Bluff and its nearby neighbour Mia Tukurta National Park. Why, you ask? Because they're convinced it's the next hidden holiday hotspot. But here's the catch: it's completely made up.

This newfound obsession with Agnes Bluff and Mia Tukurta National Park is all thanks to Amazon Prime's latest hit series, The Lost Flowers Of Alice Hart. People have been binge-watching the show and drooling over the stunning landscapes, causing Google searches for these places to shoot up like a rocket on a sugar rush.

According to news.com.au, Google searches for Agnes Bluff skyrocketed by a whopping 1640 per cent between July and August in Australia, and then another 40 per cent in September, all thanks to the series. And it's not just our fellow Aussies on the hunt for these mystical places – folks from Spain, Canada, the UK, the United States and Italy are also joining the imaginary treasure hunt.

Can we blame them for trying to uncover these hidden gems? After all, in the show, Agnes Bluff and Mia Tukurta National Park look so darn spectacular that even the Loch Ness Monster might want to visit. But chin up, dear travellers! While you can't exactly book a one-way ticket to Fantasyland, you can still visit the real-life locations that inspired the series.

This show was born from the creative genius of Aussie author Holly Ringland, who drew inspiration from her time living on Anangu land in Australia's Western Desert. In her news.com.au interview, she said, "To know people are Googling these places I fictionalised feels like a shot of joy straight to my heart – I don't know that there could be a greater compliment given to my writing."

So, where was the series actually filmed? Well, it turns out they filmed all over Central Australia, including places like the Alice Springs Desert Park, Simpsons Gap, Ooraminna Station, Standley Chasm and Ormiston Gorge – just to name a few.

And that crater that had everyone drooling? It's called Tnorala, or Gosses Bluff, and it's a mere 175km from Alice Springs.

In fact, search interest in Gosses Bluff crater has hit a 15-year high in Australia, increasing by a whopping 500 per cent in August alone – so, it seems like people are genuinely eager to find their own piece of Alice Hart's world.

Now, if you're wondering about the burning question that's on everyone's minds, it's this: "What is the crater in The Lost Flowers for Alice Hart?" And let me tell you, Gosses Bluff, or Tnorala, is the crater-du-jour.

But here's the best part – this place is absolutely real; it's not a mirage or a figment of some writer's imagination. You can actually go there, touch it (not the crater itself, though), and breathe in the stunning views. Sure, you can't frolic inside the crater, but there are viewing points that will have you oohing and aahing like a kid in a candy store.

And so, while Agnes Bluff and Mia Tukurta National Park might be the stuff of dreams, Gosses Bluff is the real deal. So it could be ime to pack your bags, grab your camera and get ready for an adventure that's so real, it'll make your Google searches feel like a distant dream.

Images: Prime Video

"His hero narrative has massively failed": Qantas staff's brutal response to Alan Joyce's early exit

A former Qantas pilot and several current staff members have recounted the moment they found out about now former-CEO Alan Joyce's early exit from the company.

Joyce was planning to retire from his CEO role in November, but shocked the nation on Tuesday when he decided he would be stepping back, effective immediately.

His resignation comes after 22 years in the role, as Qantas continues to face mounting pressures over unprecedented customer dissatisfaction, and a looming glass action lawsuit over cancelled flights.

Upon hearing the news, past and present Qantas employees erupted in celebration.

Retired Qantas pilot captain Richard de Crespigny was on board a flight on Tuesday when the news broke mid-air that Joyce was gone, sparking extraordinary celebrations.

"I was on a flight from Sydney to Melbourne this morning and when I landed the cabin crew were giving each other high-fives," de Crespigny told A Current Affair.

Another ground staff member said, "We're celebrating wildly, not just because he's leaving but because his hero narrative has massively failed."

Mr de Crespigny, who worked for Qantas for 34 years warned the airline won't regain trust overnight just because Joyce has taken off.

"It's built in teaspoons and destroyed in shovel loads," he said.

"It takes incredible skill, determination and empathy to build it up; it's got to be protected."

Mr de Crespigny went on to say the Qantas business restructure after the travel industry was decimated by the Covid pandemic was not good enough, and the upper management made some terrible decisions.

During the pandemic, Mr Joyce locked out employees during an industrial dispute before hundreds of staff lost their jobs during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Some of them didn't come out of it well at all. They lost their jobs, they lost their houses, they lost their marriages," de Crespigny said.

"The workers that held Qantas up … they really suffered greatly."

"And it hasn't been a good vision to see the executive team, the CEO, continue to get bonuses at the expense of maybe baggage handlers and other people that have lost their jobs. This is not a good example of leadership."

What about the other States of Oz? Naaah..go to the biggest stadium to break all the records I can and let the fans travel from all over Australia to do so. Not nearly good enough. Feel sorry for the other States. A big fat snub,” one potentially former fan added.

Many weren’t going to let them stop them, with no few commenters making the most of the situation and looking ahead to better times at the stadiums, simply declaring to their friends “I guess we’re all going to Aus in February then”.

Images: Getty

Magpie murderer slapped with massive penalty

A Victorian man has copped a $2,349 penalty after inflicting “callous” acts on magpies.

His sentence comes after an investigation by Victorian authorities who were tipped off that birds were being shot at a property in the state’s Sunraysia region. After inspecting the property in 2021, investigators discovered four dead magpies as well as two so severely injured they had to be euthanised.

The 57-year-old was placed on a good behaviour bond after appearing at the Mildura Magistrates Court. He admitted to 10 offences of wounding and inflicting aggravated cruelty on the native birds.

While Victoria does allow wildlife to be killed by property owners, they must apply for a permit before they start shooting.

After the sentence was handed down, the state’s Conservation Regulator Glen Smith warned offenders would be prosecuted.

“Magpies are an iconic native bird and they are protected in Victoria. There is no excuse for unlawfully killing or injuring them," he said.

“The Conservation Regulator takes wildlife crime extremely seriously and this court result should act as a warning that we will pursue penalties for offenders.”

These “callous” acts on the native birds come soon after another Australian man was found guilty of shooting and killing a staggering 350 kookaburras.

Anyone with information about wildlife crime can report it anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Jackie O responds to wild rumour following divorce and massive weight loss

Jackie O has responded to rumours that she will appear on The Bachelorette following her 18 kg weight loss and divorce.

Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O show on Tuesday morning, the radio host was quick to shut down the rumours after her co-star Kyle Sandilands poked fun at her alleged new gig.

“Congratulations on your new TV gig,” Kyle cheekily remarked.

“That's all untrue Kyle. That's bulls**t. No, I'm not doing that,” Jackie O immediately quipped back.

“That's great, because I wouldn't have been happy about that,” Kyle replied, and then went on to say why Jackie O was too good for the show.

“I put you up on a pedestal. You are a great woman that has achieved amazing things in your life, [you] raised a great daughter... And you're an award-winning, wonderful friend,” he said.

On their Wednesday show, Jackie O shut down the rumours further by saying that no amount of money would have convinced her to go on the show.

She confirmed that the Channel 10 producers begged her to appear on the dating show, but has firmly said no, because she didn’t want to be around a “bunch of gronks”.

“It came through my manager and I said "absolutely not". No way would I ever do something like that. It is great for your entertainment, but what about me,' she said.

She also hinted that the producers were willing to pay her anything she wanted, hinting at a possible $300k salary, which is the same amount her friend, Sophie Monk, got paid.

“They asked how much would it cost. Nothing, I wouldn't do it. I would just not do it. Not the Bachelorette. They are just making TV in the end and you are just going to get gronks, get weirdos... I just don't think it is for me,” she justified.

This comes after Woman’s Day magazine alleged that Jackie had signed up to the franchise in hopes of finding the right one on Monday.

Images: Youtube

Massive change coming to public holidays

In a new court ruling, bosses must now ask their employees if they want to work public holidays before rostering them on.

The ruling will override whatever is written into staff’s current contracts.

The changes come after The Federal Court of Australia discovered a leg of mining giant BHP had violated the Fair Work Act by making Christmas Day and Boxing Day mandatory workdays.

85 employees for BHP labour provider OS MCAP at Daunia Mine in Queensland were forced to work during those dates without public holiday rates.

The judges ruled that the Fair Work Act only allows bosses to request employees work on public holidays.

“The intended mischief the (Fair Work Act) provision confronts is the inherent power imbalance that exists between employers and employees,” the court ruled.

“By virtue of this imbalance, employees will often feel compelled, and not understand, that they have the capacity to refuse a request that is unreasonable or where their own refusal is reasonable.

“The requirement that there be a ‘request’ rather than a unilateral command prompts the capacity for discussion, negotiation and a refusal.”

Under the new ruling, an employee is able to “refuse the request (and take the day off) if the employee has reasonable grounds for doing so”, the judgement added.

The shock decision will also impact other companies that rely on shift workers.

Speaking to the Australian Financial Review, mining and Energy Union president Tony Mahler said the industry’s approach to working public holidays needed to change.

“The right for workers to spend time with friends and family at important times of the year was traditionally respected by mining companies,” he said.

“It is common practice for employers in the mining industry to require employees to work on public holidays when they fall during their roster hours.

“This practice has been found to contravene the NES and employers will need to adapt and provide workers with a genuine choice that allows them the right to refuse.”

“It isn’t a good move": Woolies under fire over massive change to popular service

Woolworths supermarket has caused a stir after implementing a major change to a popular shopping service.

Woolies has dramatically increased the minimum spend for online shoppers who are using their Direct to Boot shopping service.

Earlier this month, the retail giant upped its minimum spend from $30 to $50, which is a 66 per cent climb.

The free service allows customers to shop online and collect it from their local Woolworths without having to leave their car.

“We bring your groceries to you. We’ll pick it, pack it, and pop it in your boot for free,” Woolworths says.

The increase in minimum spend is not sitting well with the public, with one shopper arguing that it is a disadvantage to vulnerable customers.

“Increasing the minimum spend on click and collect/direct to boot orders is only going to make shopping harder on pensioners and people with disabilities who will now either be forced to buy items they don’t need or can’t afford, or made to physically shop for themselves when they might struggle,” one customer said.

“It also makes it more frustrating for single person households when they don’t need to buy bigger amounts at a time.”

“It isn’t a good move, and I hope you reconsider and look to go back to putting customers first.”

“I’m not sure how this improves the way I shop or allows anyone to ‘enjoy greater convenience’ though. It actually reduces convenience.” The customer added.

A Woolworths spokesperson defended the minimum spend increase, telling 7NEWS, “Our free direct to boot services and pick up has remained unchanged for a number of years,”

“Earlier this month, the minimum spend was increased by $30 to $50.”

“We’re continuing to let customers know about this change through our stores and online.”

A Facebook user also came to the supermarket’s defence, saying that Woolies shouldn’t have to “lose money” because of the service.

“It costs them to have someone pick your order and deliver it to your boot,” the user said.

“It also means no impulse purchases in the store so they aren’t making any extra that way. Why should they lose money by delivering things to your boot?”

Dad’s horror at six-year-old’s massive bill

A young boy from Michigan has learned a tasty lesson in money management.

Six-year-old Mason Stonehouse had been playing on his dad’s phone when he discovered his soon-to-be favourite app - food delivery service Grubhub.

After putting his son to bed, Mason’s father Keith was shocked to find delivery drivers began to frequent their doorstep, one after the other leaving something behind. Keith likened the strange evening to a Saturday Night Live skit, and in doorbell camera footage he could be heard asking one of the drivers “what the hell is going on?”

A look at his phone confirmed that Mason had pulled off a parent’s nightmare - the boy had ordered almost $2,000 (AUD) of food from restaurants all across their town.

Speaking with TODAY.com, Keith explained that the two were having father and son time in front of the TV when Mason asked to use Keith’s phone. Mason often uses his dad’s phone to play educational games, so Keith thought nothing of it, allowing Mason 30 minutes with the device.

Keith recalled how Mason made his way downstairs to play, and went to bed without a fuss when his half hour was up.

“A 6-year-old going to bed is not normally an easy thing but he was surprisingly really good,” he said. “There was no fight, no ‘I’m hungry’, or making up stuff to stay up. He just went to bed, and I was like, ‘Wow, this is amazing, I wish Mom was here to witness this’. And all of a sudden I hear the doorbell.”

To various news outlets, Keith has mentioned how it was “car after car” that kept “coming and coming” to the family’s home in Chesterfield Township. In his own Facebook post about the incident, he shared Mason’s shopping list, telling his friends “if you’re hungry and you’re in the mood for 5 orders of jumbo shrimp, salad, grape leaves, rice, 3 hanis, several orders of chilli cheese fries, chicken shawarma sandwiches, and plenty of Ice cream - swing on by SMH.”

Keith saw Mason’s delectable adventure to an end when his bank declined an order of $635 (AUD) for pepperoni pizza. As he told Good Morning America, this “would’ve been on top of the $1,000 worth of food that was piling in my kitchen.”

This wasn’t even Mason’s first order of the evening from the same establishment - Happy’s Pizza for a happy Mason - with a sizable jumbo shrimp delivery already having made it to their doorstep.

MLive.com heard from Keith that he tried to speak to Mason about what had happened, but soon discovered that their priorities weren’t exactly aligned, “I was trying to explain to him that this wasn’t good and he puts his hand up and stops me and says, ‘Dad, did the pepperoni pizzas come yet?’”

“I had to walk out of the room. I didn’t know if I should get mad or laugh,” he admitted.

Whether the entire situation prompted more amusement or exasperation from the Stonehouses, they assured everyone that none of Mason’s bouncy went to waste, with the food going to their neighbours, and their phones well away from Mason’s sneaky shopping.

Images: Facebook

Massive backlash against Channel 10 for urging staff to work on Australia Day

Joe Hildebrand – a former employee of Channel 10 – has appeared on Sunrise to take his former employers to task after it was reported that two senior executives had sent an email urging staff to boycott Australia Day by working instead of observing the public holiday.

Hildebrand, 46, was formerly a host of the Studio 10 morning program from 2013 until he was let go in 2020.

He has now accused execs at Network Ten of “virtue signalling”.

Hildebrand went on to insist that, rather than condemn the idea of Australia Day altogether – a national holiday that the majority of Australians still support – that instead Channel 10 should consider donating to a variety of Indigenous charities.

During the fiery conversation on Sunrise with host Monique Wright and News.com.au political reporter Samantha Maiden, Hildebrand also couldn't resist taking a swipe at Channel 10's continuing woes amid diving ratings and rounds of redundancies.

“I understand they're going to allow republicans to work on the Queen's Birthday, and they're going to allow Liberal voters to work on Labour Day, so there's some terrific initiatives coming through,” he said.

“I'd also like to see from all these companies that have sent out group emails to their employees recently - and the good thing about Channel 10 is that every year there are fewer and fewer employees to send group emails to - why don't they instead donate half their profits to charities that actually help Indigenous people?”

After mentioning several non-profits that are achieving positive results for First Nations people, including the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation, Hildebrand said that improving literacy is “probably the most important thing you can do to reduce intergenerational poverty”.

“I'm pretty sure you'll see them jump at the chance to [donate to Indigenous charities], just as they've jumped at the chance to show how sensitive they are about Australia Day,” Hildebrand continued. “By January 26, they'll be falling over themselves to hand out their money, all their profits – obviously profits don't apply to Channel 10 – to these terrific charities that work so hard for so little money, all the time.”

Two execs at Channel 10 have sent emails to staff informing them that the network won’t be celebrating Australia Day, saying that employees can come to work instead of taking the day off. Parent company Paramount ANZ's chief content officer Beverley McGarvey and co-lead Jarrod Villani told staff it was “not a day of celebration” for Indigenous people and said employees could decide whether they wished to take the day off as a public holiday or work if they preferred.

“At Paramount ANZ we aim to create a safe place to work where cultural differences are appreciated, understood and respected,” the pair wrote. “For our First Nations people, we as an organisation acknowledge that January 26 is not a day of celebration.

“We recognise that there has been a turbulent history, particularly around that date and the recognition of that date being Australia Day.”

Staff could choose to work through the national holiday if they didn't feel comfortable celebrating it and could take another day of leave instead.

“We recognise that January 26 evokes different emotions for our employees across the business, and we are receptive to employees who do not feel comfortable taking this day as a public holiday,” the email read.

The network bosses were adamant that those who did wish to celebrate Australia Day “reflect and respect the different perspectives and viewpoints of all Australians”.

Channel 10 has also been struggling in the ratings with questions now being raised about the station's viability. It was also revealed by Daily Mail Australia that the network was forced to cancel its annual Christmas Party.

Images: Sunrise

“So tone deaf”: Karl loses it over Medibank bosses' massive bonuses

Karl Stefanovic has slammed the top bosses at Medibank after it has been revealed they will be taking home millions in bonuses amid the company’s cyber attack crisis.

While ten million of Medibank’s customers are learning whether their personal data has made it onto the dark web - and fork out cash to keep themselves safe - bosses will still be collecting a total of $7.3 million in bonuses.

Joel Andrews, one customer whose data has been stolen, told Today that “it’s disgusting” that bosses aren’t willing to give up their bonuses despite affected customers facing financial losses.

“I’m furious,” Andrews said.

“To think that it’s taken them a month to get this information out to us and say what’s been released, I understand it takes time to find these things out but it’s taken them that long.

“They promised early on that they would act quickly because it’s such a time-sensitive issue, and it feels like they have just left it up to them, on their timing.”

“I mean you’ve got the Medicare boss getting $1.5 million in bonuses last financial year,” co-host Ally Langdon said.

“He also receives 150 percent of his fixed salary in shares … it’s pretty tone deaf, isn’t it?”

“It’s disgusting,” Andrews replied.

"To think that all of the customers out there, ten million customers, if each of them have to pay for their own software to do data protection, losses to them are around $100 each,.

"That's a significant loss to each person and they are not willing to give up their bonuses."

Stefanovic, who found out he was also a victim of the attack just two days ago, said he had “no sympathy” for the company as it faces declining share prices and hefty costs as a result of the attack and agreed the bonuses were “disgusting”.

“It’s a failure across the board and they’re giving themselves bonuses,” the Today Show host said.

“It’s unbelievable.

"This is so tone deaf, it is one of the most tone deaf things I have seen a corporation do in Australia for a long, long time.”

The health insurance company has come under fire for how it handled the cyber attack, with customers’ data being leaked onto the dark web after it refused to pay a ransom and affected customers finding out if they’ve been targeted more than a month later.

As the Australian Federal Police continue their investigation into the attack, they have promised to take swift action against anyone who accesses the private data shared on the dark web.

Affected customers who aren’t happy with Medicare’s actions or its handling of the situation have also begun proceedings to file a lawsuit against the company.

Image: The Today Show

“It’s a massive coup”: Royal’s new TV role

Mike Tindall is reported to be taking part in the new season of Australia’s I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

The Sun reported that the husband of Princess Anne’s daughter Zara, will be heading to Australia to appear on the show.

"It's a massive coup. Mike has had a box seat for some of the most important moments in royal history for generations,” a source told the publication.

"He is sure to be discreet, but his sheer presence means this series will be an absolute must-watch."

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! Is due to hit the screens in November and the lineup will be announced closer to the launch date.

If rumours are true that Mike will be appearing on the show, it will make him the first royal to sign up for the long-running programme.

Others however have compared Mike’s move to Meghan Markle’s previous role in the huge Netflix series Suits.

This prompted a response from renowned UK journalist Piers Morgan who pointed out that the Tindall’s were never working royals.

"There will be some who sneer today that Tindall shouldn’t be degrading himself by taking part in a TV reality show and comparing him to royal renegades Meghan and Harry, who quit Britain and royal duty to ruthlessly exploit their titles for massive commercial gain in America,” Piers wrote.

"But here's the difference: the Tindalls have never been working royals, had any royal titles, or received any public money. They are self-sufficient financially, trading off their mutual huge success in the sporting arena."

Mike and Zara married in 2011 and have three children, Mia, eight, Lena, four, and Lucas, one.

Image: Getty

Ricky Martin hits back at “maladjusted” nephew with massive lawsuit

Ricky Martin has filed a multi-million-dollar lawsuit against his 21-year-old nephew who previously accused the singer of sexual abuse.

The suit comes a month after Martin’s nephew, Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, withdrew a restraining order laid against the 50-year-old celebrity.

Martin filed the $US 20 million suit on Wednesday, as reported by TMZ, which contains claims from Martin that his nephew is a “maladjusted individual” who would message him up to ten times a day over a four-month period, threatening to “assassinate his reputation and integrity” if he didn’t give him cash.

The Livin’ La Vida Loca singer also alleged that Sanchez shared his mobile phone number online and made an Instagram account for one of Martin’s children.

He believes he has missed out on lucrative business opportunities, according to the suit, and is seeking the hefty sum for damages.

Martin, who parents his four children with husband Jwan Yosef, said he and his family felt “unsafe” in Puerto Rico due to Sanchez’s alleged behaviour.

In July, Martin shared a clip explaining why he hadn’t addressed Sanchez’s claims the pair were in an incestuous relationship when they first emerged.

“For two weeks, I was not allowed to defend myself because I was following procedure, where the law … obligated me not to talk until I was in front of the judge,” Martin said in the clip while dressed in a suit and tie.

Sanchez, who is the son of Martin’s half-sister Vanessa Martin, alleged he and Martin were in a relationship for seven months and that his uncle stalked him at his house following their breakup.
<blockquote class="instagram-media" style="background: #FFF; Inside J Lo and Ben Affleck's massive new marital mansion

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have officially tied the knot and it seems they’ve celebrated their nuptials by living large and purchasing a lavish new property.

The two stars were spotted house hunting back in May, and in June, it was reported that they had settled on a stunning Beverly Hills mansion that was once owned by Danny DeVito.

While the couple has yet to confirm if they have purchased the property, moving vehicles were also reportedly spotted outside of each of their respective homes, leading many to believe that they have now moved into the mansion together.

Lopez and Affleck's rumored new abode was most recently owned by Australian billionaire James Packer, who's the former fiancé of Mariah Carey.

DeVito and Perlman sold the seven-bedroom home in 2015 for $28 million to developers Stuart and Stephanie Liner. The Liners then made numerous upgrades to the estate and listed it for $85 million. Packer then bought the property for around $60 million in 2018.

It's unclear what Lopez and Affleck paid for the house, and there's a shroud of mystery surrounding the deal, since the house was not even listed for sale when they reportedly bought it.

In fact, real estate experts have said it hadn't even been shown off-market, with the exception, potentially, being to Lopez and Affleck.

The house sprawls across 29,000-square-feet, which would allow ample space for the couple's blended brood of five children.

The massive estate is also said to have many luxury amenities and perks, including an at-home movie theater, a hair salon, a gym, an entertainment room, a wine cellar, a sprawling pool, and even multiple guest houses.

The marble kitchen is a chef’s dream, complete with two ovens, an 11-burner stove, two islands, and multiple drawers and cabinets for optimal storage space.

The spacious dining area can seat up to 12 people, so the family will certainly have enough space to stretch out during dinner time.

The master bedroom is fit for royalty and comes with an enormous walk-in closet with rows upon rows of storage for the couple's glamorous wardrobes.

The mansion sits on 1.29 acres of land, and it also comes complete with an eight-car garage.

The couple was spotted shopping for homes around various swanky areas of Los Angeles for several months before reportedly making the purchase.

Images: Hilton & Hyland
