The world continues to get weirder,” another added.

However, many praised the star for using his platform and lending his voice to the Yes campaign.

“Thanks for sharing this. It is a big deal here and causing a lot of controversy and misinformation,” one fan commented.

“Thank you and Taika for the solidarity. The lead up to the referendum has been really rough on our communities and it’s actually really nice to get some encouragement from our Indigenous brothers from across the seas,” another added.

“I can’t even begin to thank you for sharing this. I will not read any more of the comments,” a third commented.

“Thank you for adding your voice to the thousands across Australia who will be voting yes. Every voice counts,” added a fourth.

The video itself is a three-minute skit-style clip where Briggs talks to two ignorant women - who had casual biases echoing the No campaign - about the upcoming Voice referendum.

He kindly calls them out for their lack of information, with their excuse being that they haven't “had heaps of time” because of "life".

“Have you got your phone? Let’s see what you do have time for,” Briggs asks in the clip and as he opens up their search history, and jokingly says: “‘Did Aaron leave Love Island 13 because he had gonorrhoea?’ Big questions."

He then googles the proposal and finds a basic explainer in seconds.

“The Voice referendum means we are voting to have a body called the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice who may make representations to parliament on matters relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

"The Voice will give independent advice to parliament and will be chosen by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people based on the wishes of communities. That advice then goes to parliament who continues to hold the ultimate power for legislative change," they said.

“OK, well, that is quite clear, I’d just vote yes to that?” the woman adds. “How did you find that? You went on Google, and it’s, the first result? OK, well you need to tell people about that Google thing.”

The clip ends with a message that says: "Vote Yes to that referendum thing."

Images: Instagram/ Getty: Mike Marsland/WireImage

Thanks you!"

The person who shared the gross photo revealed they had collected a number of bags all along the track and carried them to a bin nearby on a stick.

They explained the photo was snapped just before they disposed of the litter.

"As a dog owner, I find this lazy and equally as bad as not picking up," one person wrote in the comments.

"And it is behaviour such as this that will see the few spaces, we enjoy with our poochies taken away."

Another person revealed they kept extra dog bags on hand, as they so often were forced to pick up other dog’s business.

Ku-ring-gai Council states on its website that owners should always pick up after their dogs.

The picture of the sign shared to the Facebook group says dogs are permitted in the area, but they must be on-leash, however parts of the track cut into Garigal National Park, where dogs are not permitted.

Image: Facebook

Mum's time-saving school lunch hack branded as "lazy"

A mum has left parents divided after revealing her lunchbox hack to save time making her children’s school sandwiches.

Taking to Facebook, she shared that she makes 40 sandwiches at once and freezes them before taking them out when needed.

She asked for advice on the best way to freeze them, saying preparing two weeks worth of sandwiches at once saved her time in the long run.

She wrote: "The kids take them out in the morning and put them in their sandwich boxes and the sandwich bag goes back into the freezer ready to be used again (to stay environmentally friendly and cost-effective)."

The lunch is made up of ham, cream cheese, plum jam and Vegemite to “keep it simple”.

Although many parents praised her for the hack and said they’re planning to try it out themselves, others branded it “lazy” and said the sandwiches would be “tasteless” by the time they came out of the freezer.

One commented: "I wouldn't want to eat a frozen sandwich so wouldn't make one for my kids. It takes a minute to make a sandwich."

Another wrote: "My mum used to make frozen peanut butter sandwiches when I was a kid so I will admit now those sandwiches were binned every day at school."

But others defended her method, arguing that as long as the sandwiches were thawed out for a few hours before they were eaten, they wouldn't taste any different.

They also added that the tactic clearly works for the mum and the negative remarks were “uncalled for”.

Controversial Coles' item sparks outrage among shoppers: "Are we really that lazy?"

A new product in Coles’ produce section has left some shoppers baffled and questioning how “lazy” consumers are becoming.

The supermarket’s pre-diced brown onion – priced at $1.50 for a 150g tub and advertised as “perfectly diced onion for no more tears!” – has divided opinions on social media.

“Are we really that lazy that we can no longer dice our own onions?” Northern Beaches Clean Up Crew posted on their Facebook page. “So much unnecessary plastic! Coles, please stop selling this!”

Many social media users also expressed disapproval in the comment section, describing the idea as “ridiculous” and “sad”.

“Chopped onion goes bad so quickly! Why waste money in something that won’t last a couple days when unchopped ones last ages,” a disgruntled customer wrote.

“When you see something like this on the shelves tell the manager. Don’t buy it and let it rot on the shelves, the only way to stop this is to hurt them in the pocket,” another added.

However, others defended the item as a great help for people with disability.

“Not everyone has the ability to cut up foods. It’s not about laziness,” one chimed in.

“Arthritis and illnesses like MS make it almost impossible for some people to chop fruit and veg. The elderly also benefit from pre-chopped veg,” one commented. “Yes I agree plastic is a problem but there’s a real need for these products.”

A Coles spokesperson said the retailer’s diced onion serves a multitude of purposes for modern Aussie shoppers.

“We know that cutting onions is a task many of our customers do not like – it can quite literally bring them to tears,” the spokesperson told news.com.au.

“So this is another example of where Coles has done the work for you.”

The spokesperson said the product packaging could be recycled through REDcycle soft plastic recycling bins at Coles supermarkets.

The pre-chopped food trend is not limited to Coles or Australia alone. A shopper noted that Harris Farm Markets also offers chopped up fresh produce. “For broccoli and pumpkin and anything else they can think of. [All] while bragging about being plastic free and having signs out the front saying bring your own containers etc,” she wrote.

Last year, UK supermarket Marks & Spencer pulled its “cauliflower steaks” or pre-sliced cauliflower off the shelves following backlash.

Marks and Spencer stores are selling sliced cauliflower as ‘Cauliflower Steak’ with lots of lovely plastic and charging £2 (normally £2.50). Australia Post comes under fire: Delivery drivers slammed by residents for being “lazy”

Australia Post delivery drivers have been slammed by angry customers claiming posties have been displaying bad behaviour by not delivering packages to their doors.

Many customers all over Australia are upset drivers are leaving “sorry we missed you” cards at their doors without bothering to knock on the door or check if someone is home.

These drivers have been accused of failing to do their jobs properly, and those upset by the service have taken to online forum Reddit to vent their frustrations.

Instead of drivers ensuring no-one is home to deliver the items, red cards have been left in customers' mailboxes telling them to collect their packages themselves, Aussies all over the country have claimed.

One upset client shared a screenshot to Reddit on Tuesday of a text messaging chain between them and the Australia Post customer service team.

The customer’s response was timestamped one minute after the original text message was sent, but the sender informed them the driver had already been to their home and it was too late – within the timespan of just one minute.

The post sparked an angry online storm of people all over the country complaining the same treatment had been given to them by “lazy” posties failing to deliver their packages.

Over 400 comments identifying the poster’s text screenshot told their own stories.

“Happened to me too,” one disgruntled customer wrote.

“Was sitting in the garden with my toddler and saw the van pull up. By the time I'd got up and walked to my gate, he'd left the slip and driven off. Was furious.”

Another comment read: “I saw the guy drive up to my driveway, sit in his car, and then put the slip in the mailbox. He sheepishly told me that he couldn't do anything because he already marked it as 'couldn't be delivered'.

“Forcing him to stick around and calling up AusPost a few minutes later, I had my parcel.”

A similar story came from another customer who said it happened to them four times.

“I’ve submitted an online complain to Auspost and also called. The most ridiculous thing that they even have a term for this – ‘carding’.. and the guy on the phone was super casual about it,” they wrote.

“Casually not even a follow up call/email on any of my complaints, no apologies whatsoever.”

An Australian Post spokesperson told Yahoo News most posties do the right thing when delivering their parcels.

“Our posties and drivers must knock at the door three times and call out before leaving a card or safe-dropping the parcel, and the majority of our parcels are delivered without a problem.

“We do sometimes receive complaints from customers who received a card instead of a parcel and if this has happened we ask people get in contact so we can investigate.

“Sometimes our people may leave a card without knocking because of access or safety issues – such as an off-leash dog – and this might happen when a customer is home.

“We regularly remind our drivers of our policies and what we expect of them to ensure our customers receive a great service.”

Don’t take your good health for granted.”

The 26-year-old mum slammed the author of the message for being “heartless”.

She explained that her son, Reggie, has several medical conditions and needs to be fed through a peg inserted into his stomach.

“I think it is disgusting how people can judge too quickly,” she wrote. “Pushchair, walking, wheelchair whatever is used you should never ever judge anyone!

"I feel so sorry for anyone who has gone through this themselves.”

She said that medical disabilities are “not always obvious” and that she hopes the culprit will see the post and learn not to carelessly assume things about other people.

Emma, who hopes her post will go viral to raise awareness about unseen disabilities, has had her post shared over 150 times.

Karl Stefanovic slams media for "cheap, lazy, sexist" reports

Television personality Karl Stefanovic has criticised The Daily Mail, after the website incorrectly implied he was cheating on his girlfriend with a colleague.

In an emotional piece during this morning’s broadcast, The Today Show host said the news outlet crossed the line when it made claims about his co-workers.

"Do not slur the reputations of others in your eagerness to throw mud at me." -@KarlStefanovic #9Today pic.twitter.com/v0G7xSBlmu
— The Today Show (@TheTodayShow) June 1, 2017

The article in question showed Stefanovic carrying a 12-pack of rum in a caravan park.

But the Gold Logie winner set the record straight this morning.

“The inference (is that) I'm a drunk. The real hurt here is for my colleague, a young female colleague. The sleazy suggestion that we're checking in somewhere and that I'm settling in for a long night. Fact: This was work. We were filming a story about our struggling prawn farmers - they deserve a rum or two,” Stefanovic said.

“The idea colleagues of the opposite sex can't work together without something going on surely belongs to the 1950s. And, for most of Australia, it does. But not, it seems, on this website. The Daily Mail has a long, despicable track record of denigrating women."

Stefanovic concluded by urging the website to stay clear of erroneous stories, “Do not slur the reputations of others in your eagerness to throw mud at me.”

What are your views?

Does fencing playgrounds make them safer or does it encourage lazy parenting?

Kids of all ages love going to the park. But often the choice of park is dictated by the parents or grandparents – they want one with easy parking, near a coffee shop, with a toilet nearby, and many prefer to choose one that is fenced.

For Newcastle mum Louise Carey, hearing so many mums discuss the stress of visiting unfenced parks has sparked her into action. She is petitioning the local council to place more fences around playgrounds.

“Some kids have more of an exploring nature, or are what you’d call ‘runners.’ And when some of the mothers are heavily pregnant or breastfeeding, you start to notice the issue where we are really struggling to find outdoor play areas where we could supervise that number of children without danger,” says Mrs Carey.

With over 260 signatures so far, the petition asks the council to fence priority playgrounds such as those near busy roads or near water.

Her work seems to have started a fence or no-fence debate. Some say that fencing a playground would lead to an increase in lazy parenting, as parents might feel that they don’t need to supervise their kids.

On the pro-fence side, mothers of more than one child who visit busy parks say that they don’t have a hope of keeping up with their little ones who try to make a break for freedom.

For grandparents, who are often regulars at the park these days, having to try and catch "a runner" in an unfenced playground could be difficult to impossible.

“We do have a growing demographic of grandparents who are becoming significant carers while parents are being forced back into the work force — a situation Tony Abbot is pushing harder for — so we’re going to see a lot of grandparents taking up a greater role,” says Mrs Carey.

Fenced or not, the responsibility of parents and carers at the park is great. There are flying legs from swings to avoid, slippery slides to navigate, and of course there is always the management of toddler arguments to look after. Having a fence might make the park slightly less stressful, but it’s still going to require a careful eye on the little people who are in it.

Related links:

Large pack sizes could be causing resistance to antibiotics

Your phone and internet bills could be set to drop

We love this hysterical anthem for older ladies
