Former SAS Australia contestant recalls terrifying Ozempic overdose

<p>Former SAS Australia contestant Roxy Jacenko has opened up on the terrifying experience she had after overdosing on Ozempic. </p> <p>Jacenko was desperate to lose 15kg of extra weight, which she gained as a result of taking Tamoxifen - a hormone therapy drug she took for her breast cancer for seven years.</p> <p>“The Tamoxifen made me put on 15kg,” she said during  a special <em>7NEWS Spotlight TV</em> investigation into the drug. </p> <p> “And whilst to other people, they didn’t look at me and go, 'Oh well, she’s put on a lot of weight,' I didn’t feel comfortable.</p> <p>“And I tried everything. I tried the fad diets. I tried starting at a gym, doing workouts. I tried not eating much and I couldn’t shake the weight. I just wanted to fix it, and this seemed like the way. Ozempic seemed like the easy answer.”</p> <p>Weight loss is one of the side effects of the medication, which is usually used to help adults with Type 2 diabetes control their blood sugar. It is this side effect that has millions wanting to use it for weight loss. </p> <p>Despite Novo Nordisk - the pharmaceutical company supplying Ozempic -  advising the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration that supplies throughout 2023 and 2024 will be limited and it should only be prescribed by doctors to diabetics, people have found other ways to obtain it.</p> <p>Jacenko revealed that despite her local GP telling her she didn't meet the criteria for the injection, she bought it on the black market in Nowra, NSW and ordered an Uber to collect it for her. </p> <p>“It was about $2,500 for the drive there and back, and then it was another $700 for the two pens,” she said. “I was actually like a junkie. I look at it now and I was like a junkie.”</p> <p>She recalled how she took more than the recommended amount in a desperate attempt to lose weight. </p> <p>“I took four times the amount in one hit,” she revealed.</p> <p>“I felt OK at that point in time. The aftermath of it was I think I’m going to die.</p> <p>She added, “in the morning, I was driving to work. I was sweating. I was so hot and then I just kept vomiting nonstop. What not to do? One milligram of Ozempic.”</p> <p>“That night, I ended up in hospital. They had never seen this before. This was the first they had seen of an Ozempic overdose. Like the shaking, my whole body was shaking, I couldn’t control my legs. It’s like I had no control of my body.</p> <p>“My arms and legs were like this. And then in addition to that, they just start pumping you full of fluid. You can rest assure I came out skinny, but it didn’t last for long. Literally, I truly thought this is it. I’ve been sick in my time. Cancer was a walk in the park compared to how bad I felt for those three days.</p> <p>As a result, Jacenko no longer takes the the medication and has since stopped drinking and started following a healthy diet. </p> <p>"And if anyone asks me, “Would you do it again, Ozempic?” No freaking way. The extraordinary amount the I'm A Celebrity contestants are paid

<p>Each year, an array of reality stars, sporting legends and international names head into the South African jungle, fighting for the chance to emerge victorious. </p> <p>At the end of each season of <em>I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here</em> when the winner is crowned, their prize is revealed as a huge cash donation to a charity of their choice.</p> <p>Despite the celebs not taking anything home for winning, that doesn't mean they walk away from the jungle empty handed, as each of the celebrities are paid a hefty salary for their appearance on the show. </p> <p>As season 10 of the show premiered on Monday, season two winner Brendan ‘Fev’ Fevola spoke candidly about the salaries and explained that you get more money the longer you stay in the jungle.</p> <p>“In 2015 I got paid $250,000 upfront, and then $5,000 every show after the [first] two weeks,” he said on <em>The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick</em> on Monday.</p> <p>“So you’d lay there on a Sunday and you’d think, ‘There’s another 7 days, there’s $35,000, boom. Hopefully, they don’t have an eviction during the week’.”</p> <p>According to <em><a href="https://www.pedestrian.tv/entertainment/how-much-im-a-celebrity-pay-australia/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" data-i13n="cpos:6;pos:1" data-ylk="slk:Pedestrian;cpos:6;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas" data-rapid_p="13" data-v9y="1">Pedestrian</a></em>, one of this year’s male celebrities is being paid $90,000 for a minimum of two weeks in the jungle and will receive an extra $5,500 every day following that they don't get evicted.</p> <p>The publication also asked a handful of 2024 contestants directly about their pay cheques, with reality star Callum Hole revealing that he was paid “good money” and “a lot more than <em>Love Island</em>”.</p> <p>Despite Hole's claims, influencer and former <em>Big Brother</em> star Skye Wheatley said money wasn’t her motivation for going on the show and she would actually be earning more if she stayed home.</p> <p>“I’d do it for free,” she said. “It’s for charity, babes, who gives a f**k about the money. I love that it can be for charity and I love the opportunity. Grant Denyer serenades one of Australia's oldest Deal or No Deal contestants

Miss World contestant passes away at just 26

<p>A former Miss World contestant has passed away at the age of 26, after a two-year battle with cervical cancer. </p> <p>Sherika de Armas, who was the representative for Uruguay in the 2015 international pageant, died last week after undergoing both chemotherapy and radiotherapy during her health fight. </p> <p>Her family announced the news of her death on Instagram, telling followers she “departed in peace, surrounded by the love of her family and friends”.</p> <p>“She will always be in our hearts,” they said.</p> <p>“Fly high, little sister. Always and forever,” de Armas’s brother Mayk wrote.</p> <p>Among the commenters was current Miss Uruguay Carla Romero who wrote, “Too evolved for this world. One of the most beautiful women I have ever met in my life.”</p> <p>De Armas represented Uruguay in the Miss World competition in 2015, and although she didn't make the top 30, she was called "one of the young promising talents of Uruguay" for her "beautiful face, towering height and charismatic personality". </p> <p>She was one of six 18-year-olds in the competition that year, which was held in China. </p> <p>“I always wanted to be a model, whether a beauty model, an advertising model or a catwalk model,” she told local outlet Univision at the time.</p> <p>“I like everything related to fashion and I think that within a beauty pageant, any girl’s dream is to have the opportunity to participate in Miss Universe."</p> <p>“I am very happy to be able to live this experience full of challenges.”</p> <p><em>Image credits: Instagram</em></p>

The Block contestants accused of cheating one week in

<p>Barely a week into the newest season of The Block and Sydney-based contestants Steph and Gian have been accused of breaking the rules. </p> <p>The couple had a difficult start to the competition after their builder consistently made costly mistakes. With one builder down and the time running out, Steph’s father Nick - a qualified builder - turned up at the site for a visit. </p> <p>Nick, who had travelled from interstate to visit them, was filmed helping the couple build their bathroom well into the late hours of the night. </p> <p>“It’s like the gods were aligned this week for my dad to be in town,” Steph said in the show.</p> <p>“This was a really hard week, and having someone that you trust there, that’s qualified also... he was just the perfect person.”</p> <p>This didn't sit well with Brisbane couple Leah and Ash, who had a few questions about Nick's involvement, including whether he received a site induction the night before. and if he would get paid for his work. </p> <p>If the answer was "no", then Steph and Gian would've broken the rules. </p> <p>Fellow contestant Kristy added fuel to the fire and <span style="font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Open Sans', 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;">noted that Nick was still working on-site after midnight - when even Steph had called it a night. </span></p> <p>“What set me off was the commentary, ‘Steph has had a big day so we’ve popped her to bed,’” she said. </p> <p>Turns out the other contestants had nothing to worry about, with Steph and Gian placing dead last in the bathroom judging with a score of 20.5 out of 30. </p> <p>The judges called out the “rustic” wooden beams in their bathroom ceiling which they said looked messy and needed to go. </p> <p><em>Image: The Block</em></p>

"Absolute f***ing disaster": The Block presenter slams former contestants

<p>Shelley Craft has ripped into two former contestants of <em>The Block</em>, saying the team was an "absolute f***ing disaster".</p> <p>The Block presenter was chatting candidly about the formula of the show on Hit radio show <em>Breakfast with Maz &amp; Matty</em>, where she described what she thought was the ultimate pairing for a team to partake in the renovation show. </p> <p>Shelley was asked about the calibre of contestants on the upcoming season, admitting that the show’s producers generally cast for “characters,” rather than previous experience.</p> <p>“I always thought the best team would be an accountant and an HR manager, because you have to be able to manage your money and manage your trades,” she said, revealing her own personal pick for a successful team. </p> <p>“[But] we sort of had that last year and it was an absolute f***ing disaster. That was the worst team that there is, it’s not the recipe!” she continued, to laughter from the radio hosts. </p> <p>“We’re really after great people that are happy to give it everything they’ve got, and we’ve got five teams this year who are ready to give it a red hot crack.”</p> <p>The “disaster” Craft is referring to is last year’s most controversial couple, lawyer-turned actor Sharon and her accountant husband Ankur, who copped a fierce backlash from viewers over their apparent negative attitudes while filming <em>The Block</em>.</p> <p>The couple repeatedly clashed with their builders, foremen Keith and Dan and host Scott Cam, and also declared on camera numerous times that they wished they’d never signed up to do the show. </p> <p>The couple even had their finances frozen by Scott Cam due to their apparent inability to manage their budget during the intense renovation project.</p> <p>Sharon and Ankur later said they felt “ambushed” and were upset at how they’d been portrayed on the show, prompting Cam to later say in an interview that he thought the couple had “made [the experience] harder” on themselves than it needed to be.</p> <p><em>Image credits: Getty Images </em></p>

Outrage halts New Zealand cat-killing contest

<p>A contest planned for children in New Zealand to hunt and kill feral cats in an attempt to protect native species has been stopped following severe backlash from the public and animal rights groups.</p> <p>The event would have been part of a fundraiser organised by the North Canterbury Hunting Competition for the Rotherham School in the Canterbury region of South Island.</p> <p>A new junior category was announced by organisers on April 16 that would allow children to hunt feral cats and compete for a top prize of $NZ250 prize ($229AUD).</p> <p>The announcement sparked public outrage leading organisers to cancel the event the very next day, April 17.</p> <p>A statement released by organisers explained, "vile and inappropriate emails and messages had been sent to the school and others involved.”</p> <p>"We are incredibly disappointed in this reaction and would like to clarify that this competition is an independent community run event," the statement continued.</p> <p>Feral cats have long been an issue between animal lovers and authorities because of the potential threat they pose to other wild animals.</p> <p>Authorities say that in Australia, feral cats threaten the survival of more than 100 native species.</p> <p>Feral cats are responsible for killing millions of birds, frogs, mammals and reptiles every day, compelling authorities to arrange regular culls.</p> <p>Organisers of the contest maintained that the junior hunting tournament to kill feral cats, using a firearm or any other means, was about "protecting native birds and other vulnerable species”.</p> <p>"Our sponsors and school safety are our main priority, so the decision has been made to withdraw this category for this year to avoid further backlash at this time," it said.</p> <p>"To clarify, for all hunting categories, our hunters are required to abide by Firearms Act 1983 and future amendments as well as the Animal Welfare Act 1999.”</p> <p>Organisers had announced rules to discourage young participants from killing pets.</p> <p>Any child who brought in a microchip cat would have been disqualified, they said.</p> <p>The group mentioned that previously scheduled hunts for other categories like local pigs and deer would still go ahead.</p> <p>The New Zealand Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said it was "both pleased and relieved" that the junior cat-killing contest had been axed.</p> <p>"Children, as well as adults, will not be able to tell the difference between a feral, stray or a frightened domesticated cat,” it said.</p> <p>"There is a good chance someone's pet may be killed during this event. In addition, children often use air rifles in these sorts of event which increase the likelihood of pain and distress and can cause a prolonged death," it added.</p> <p>Animal rights group PETA was pleased to see the contest had been withdrawn.</p> <p>PETA’s Asia vice president Jason Barker released a statement, saying, ”Encouraging kids to hunt down and kill animals is a sure-fire way to raise adults who solve problems with violence ... Insane salaries for I’m A Celebrity contestants revealed

<p>The I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Stars are off in the South African jungle, with each one of them competing for a $100,000 prize going to a charity of their choice. However, some stars might be taking even more money home for themselves.</p> <p>The Daily Mail reported that the celebrity cast are in for salaries ranging from $35,000 to $180,000. Although an impressive sum, it’s unsurprising for Channel Ten as they are known to splurge when it comes to the show, with Shane Warne claiming he received $2 million for his appearance back in 2016 (a fact which was enough to <a href="https://www.oversixty.com.au/finance/money-banking/how-much-kyle-knocked-back-when-asked-to-appear-on-i-m-a-celebrity" target="_blank" rel="noopener">convince Kyle Sandilands to steer clear of the jungle </a>for this year's adventure).</p> <p>Speaking to news.com.au prior to the show, <a href="https://www.oversixty.com.au/entertainment/tv/kerri-anne-kennerley-heads-to-the-jungle-on-one-condition" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kerri-Anne Kennerley revealed she had negotiated some special “provisos” in her contract.</a></p> <p>She told producers she would only brave the jungle if she was able to bring her beauty products along with her.</p> <p>Alongside Kerri-Anne, Channel Ten star Peter Helliar, 47, is up for an apparent $90,000 for his appearance on the show.</p> <p>Former Australian Idol judge Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickinson has secured some hefty funds too, reportedly being paid $80,000 for his short stint in the jungle.</p> <p>Some of the lower profile celebs are earning a smaller wage of $50,000, including <em>MAFS</em> star Domenica Calarco, radio host Woody Whitelaw and AFL player Adam Cooney.</p> <p><em>Geordie Shore’s</em> Charlotte Crosby was rumoured to have pocketed $1 million when she appeared on the reality show in 2020, but this year’s <em>Geordie Shore</em> star Nathan Henry will only be taking a fraction of that home.</p> <p>Henry, with over 1.4 million followers on Instagram, will be earning $35,000 for his appearance.</p> <p><em>Image credit: Instagram</em></p>

Family Feud contestant charged with wife’s murder

<p dir="ltr">A former contestant on Family Feud has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and home invasion over the death of his estranged wife.</p> <p dir="ltr">Timothy W. Bliefnick, 39, was charged on March 13 in relation to the suspicious death of his former spouse, Rebecca Bliefnick, 41, who was found dead in her home on February 23, according to court documents.</p> <p dir="ltr">Bliefnick appeared on the game show in January 2020, and host Steve Harvey asked him, “What’s the biggest mistake you made at your wedding?”</p> <p dir="ltr">“Honey, I love you, but, ‘said I do,’” he responded, prompting a mixed reaction from the audience. </p> <p dir="ltr">“Not my mistake, not my mistake," he continued.</p> <p dir="ltr">”I love my wife. I'm gonna get in trouble for that, aren't I?"</p> <p dir="ltr">After <em>Fox News Digital</em> discovered the clip, Bliefnick’s attorney said, "It's a game show. A silly answer to a silly question on a silly show doesn't make one a murderer.”</p> <p dir="ltr"><em>KHQA-TV</em> reported that Bliefnick and his wife were married in 2009, but at the time of her death the pair were undergoing divorce proceedings after having been separated for “several years”. After the couple separated they filed restraining orders against each other. </p> <p dir="ltr">Bliefnick’s attorney Casey Schnack told<em> E! “Life’s not about money”: Block contestants reveal fallout of chaotic season finale

They had “pretty ankle contests” in the 1900s

<p>The earliest recording of a “pretty ankle contest” was in the early 1900s but it was from the 30s to 50s that ankle competitions hit their stride. Contestants would be concealed behind a curtain with only their ankle proffered for evaluation.</p> <p>The concealment was to encourage all women to enter, as one newspaper advised in 1927: “Older ladies need not feel timid about entering the contest. They have as much chance as their daughters.”</p> <p>These shows often served as a way to promote hosiery companies with winners receiving free stocking, not to mention the crown of “prettiest ankle”.</p> <p>Looking back at the photos, it seems like the contests were serious business. As one commentator wrote in the Bunbury Herald and Blackwood Express in December 1926: “There is something captivating about pretty ankles, and it was only natural that some bright mind must think up a competition for them.” </p> <p><em>Images: Getty Images</em></p>

“I’m not copping that”: Block contestants slam show in fiery interview

<p dir="ltr"><em>Block </em>contestants Sharon and Ankur have opened up about how they have “checked out” of their relationship with the team making the renovation show, following a smarting jab at the couple during Monday night’s episode.</p> <p dir="ltr">In a live radio interview with <em>Hit NSW Breakfast with Maz &amp; Matty</em>, the couple shared how their portrayal during the landscaping week episode was the final straw for them.</p> <p dir="ltr">The episode in question showed Sharon and Ankur being informed by foremen Keith and Dan that they were $26,000 over budget, with Keith then asking why Ankur hadn’t been more across the figures given his day job as an accountant.</p> <p dir="ltr">The couple took great offence to the question, with a tearful Sharon accusing Keith of attempting to damage her husband’s professional reputation and the foreman backing down and apologising.</p> <p dir="ltr">During the interview, Ankur said he was “angry” about the interaction, pointing out how other contestants who work in plumbing and construction hadn’t had their qualifications called into question when issues came up during their builds.</p> <p dir="ltr">“That’s why I got so upset when they ambushed us in yesterday’s episode. Shaz is like a machine – ‘let’s get to the auctions’ – but I don’t know how to feel about it to be honest,” he said.</p> <p dir="ltr">Ankur also claimed that he couldn’t have known the figures, given that the landscaping was being organised without contestants’ input and that they didn’t receive the invoice.</p> <p dir="ltr">“There’s stuff they don’t show. The landscapers and executive producers were in chats for six weeks without contestants knowing,” he said.</p> <p dir="ltr">“We hadn’t even seen the invoice – it went directly to (host) Scott Cam. Then they come and ambush us and ask, ‘Haven’t you SEEN the budget?’ I’m like, <em>you might want to show that part of the show instead of ambushing me again</em>.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Calling Monday’s episode a “tipping point”, Ankur said he and Sharon had “definitely checked out” of the relationship they had with the <em>Block </em>team, with their auctions just a week away.</p> <p dir="ltr">Sharon explained why Keith’s question upset her and that it prompted “Tigress Sharon” to come out and defend her husband.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Quite clearly, we’re probably not going to be renovators after this, so don’t cut off the only livelihood that my husband has,” she said.</p> <p dir="ltr">“That’s when Tigress Sharon came out and I was like, ‘Do you know what? STFU. I’m not copping that.’”</p> <p dir="ltr">She also rallied against her portrayal on the show as “actress Sharon”, claiming her past acting work was being used to show her in a negative light.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Always referring to me as ‘actress Sharon’ instead of just ‘Sharon’. They don’t say ‘social worker Sarah-Jane.’ We’re in week 11, and just annoyed with the set-ups and the storylines,” she said.</p> <p dir="ltr">As for the amount of work the couple have undertaken over the course of the show, Sharon hit back against claims that they hadn’t done anything - and claimed they had in fact worked harder than the other contestants.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Everybody thought we didn’t do any work around <em>The Block</em> – we pulled the most all-nighters out of everyone, because our house was bigger,” she explained.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Scotty always likes to have that jab, ‘(Your house) is only 14 square metres bigger.’ It’s not that. We’re saying that the old build is harder for us to create, because we’ve got to demo it and we’ve got to frame up. The Chase contestant ridiculed over conspiracy theories

<p>A contestant on <em>The Chase</em> has stunned Larry Emdur with her belief that the moon landing was faked. </p> <p>On Thursday night's episode of the quiz show, new mum Laura told the host that she loved "conspiracy theories".</p> <p>“Aliens, love anything to do with space and all that kind of thing,” she said.</p> <p>“Do you believe that man has walked on the moon?” Emdur asked.</p> <p>“No,” she replied.</p> <p>“Absolutely not?” Emdur said.</p> <p>“No I don’t, I think that was a conspiracy,” Laura said.</p> <p>Quickly trying to end the conversation, Larry said, “I wish you lots of luck.”</p> <p>Starting the round of rapid fire questions, Larry's first question was described as "peak comedy".</p> <p>He asked, “The first person to set foot on the moon was US astronaut Neil who?”</p> <p>Without hesitation, Laura said, "Armstrong".</p> <p>The clip of the encounter has made the rounds online, with a flood of people calling out the conspiracy theorist guest. </p> <p>One person on Reddit said, “She should’ve answered, ‘Actor Neil Armstrong.’”</p> <p>Another added, “I KNOW the truth but I’m here for the money!” another said.</p> <p>Someone else demanded, “Give back the $2000!”</p> <p><em>Image credits: The Chase</em></p>

Artists furious after AI-generated art wins contest

<p dir="ltr">A stunning artwork generated by artificial intelligence has claimed first prize at an art competition, enraging the art world and calling into question what it means to be an artist. </p> <p dir="ltr">The work was “created” by Jason M Allen, a game designer from Colorado, who won first place in the emerging artist division's "digital arts/digitally manipulated photography" category at the Colorado State Fair Fine Arts Competition.</p> <p dir="ltr">His winning image, titled <em>Théâtre D'opéra Spatial</em> (French for Space Opera Theatre), was made with Midjourney — an artificial intelligence system that can produce detailed images when fed written prompts by the user. </p> <p dir="ltr">"I'm fascinated by this imagery. I love it. And I think everyone should see it," Allen, 39, told CNN Business.</p> <p dir="ltr">Allen's winning image looks like a bright, surreal cross between a Renaissance and steampunk painting.</p> <p dir="ltr">As per the category Allen competed in, he told officials that Midjourney was used to create his image when he entered the contest, as the category dictated entrants use "digital technology as part of the creative or presentation process".</p> <p dir="ltr">Midjourney is one of a growing number of such AI image generators, joining the likes of Imagen and DALL-E to give the artistically-challenged the means to create stunning images. </p> <p dir="ltr">Despite the parameters of the category, many artists were angered by Allen’s win due to his reliance on technology to create the artwork. </p> <p dir="ltr">"This sucks for the exact same reason we don't let robots participate in the Olympics," one Twitter user wrote.</p> <p dir="ltr">"This is the literal definition of 'pressed a few buttons to make a digital art piece'," another Tweeted.</p> <p dir="ltr">"AI artwork is the 'banana taped to the wall' of the digital world now."</p> <p dir="ltr">Yet while Allen didn't use a paintbrush to create his winning piece, he assured people there was plenty of work involved.</p> <p dir="ltr">"It's not like you're just smashing words together and winning competitions," he said.</p> <p dir="ltr">"Rather than hating on the technology or the people behind it, we need to recognise that it's a powerful tool and use it for good so we can all move forward rather than sulking about it," Allen said.</p> <p dir="ltr"><em>Image credits: Jason M Allen - Midjourney</em></p>

The Block contestants deny cheating to win challenge

<p>Another scandal could well and truly be unfolding on this year’s season of the popular home-reno show The Block.</p> <p>Following the infamous cheating scandal that dominated the last season (much to ratings advantage) Tuesday's episode has suggested something just as juicy could be brewing behind the scenes following controversial couple Sharon and Ankara's win in the latest challenge.</p> <p>The couple were spotted using a clever tactic - pulling out their phones to Google the answers.</p> <p>In scenes aired on Tuesday night, all five teams headed off-site to Levantine Hill winery to take part in a unique challenge, where the task was replicating the taste of a premium wine blend: a 2015 Samantha’s Paddock Mélange Traditionnel.</p> <p>They had to taste and mix several wines together to make their own bottle, the closest attempt would win $50,000 of wine to take back to The Block. The win would increase the value of their home.</p> <p>As the rest of the teams muddled through various blends and taste tests, Sharon and Ankur appeared to simply just Google search the ingredients and wine notes, by-passing the trickier elements of the task.</p> <p>After glancing around nervously, Ankur announced: “Cool. Meet the former Voice contestant representing Australia at Eurovision 2022

<p dir="ltr">After a tight race at this year’s <em>Eurovision - Australia Decides 2022</em> competition, 22-year-old Sheldon Riley will be representing the country at this year’s <em>Eurovision</em>. </p> <p dir="ltr">The young performer first shot to notoriety when he auditioned for <em>The X Factor</em> in 2016, where he came in third place. </p> <p dir="ltr">Following his time on <em>The X Factor</em>, Sheldon auditioned for <em>The Voice Australia</em> 2019, where he was coached by Delta Goodrem before he was eliminated in the semi-final. </p> <p dir="ltr">Sheldon also appeared on <em>America’s Got Talent</em> in 2020, but was eliminated in the third-quarter final. </p> <p dir="ltr">The young artist performed his original song <em>Not the Same</em> at the Australia Decides competition, and spoke to <a href="https://www.pedestrian.tv/entertainment/eurovision-australia-decides-2022-sheldon-riley/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pedestrian</a> after he was crowned the winner. </p> <p dir="ltr">“This is the stage I have watched for years and years and years and now I’m going to be standing on it!” Sheldon said.</p> <p dir="ltr">He reflected on his experience in competitive singing shows and the way they tried to mould him into personas he didn’t identify with.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Now I’m standing on a stage being respected as an artist not as a competitor. Farmer Wants a Wife contestant comes forward about bombshell pregnancy

<p dir="ltr">A contestant from 2021’s season of <em>Farmer Wants a Wife</em> has revealed behind-the-scenes details about the bombshell pregnancy rumours surrounding the popular Channel 7 program.</p> <p dir="ltr">Hayley Love has alleged to News.com.au that she is indeed pregnant with Farmer Will Dwyer’s child.</p> <p dir="ltr">Hayley, 25, said she and 39-year-old sheep and cattle farmer Will struck up a relationship shortly after the show wrapped up filming its finale in December.</p> <p dir="ltr">The contestant appeared on the show as one of the pool contestants who was vying for Farmer Matt Trewin’s love.</p> <p dir="ltr">It is understood they ended their romance in April after Hayley told Will she was pregnant.</p> <p dir="ltr">Farmer Will chose contestant Jaimee as his final pick in the finale which aired last week.</p> <p dir="ltr"><img style="width: 500px; height: 281.25px;" src="https://oversixtydev.blob.core.windows.net/media/7842741/farmer-wants-a-wife-2.jpg" alt="" data-udi="umb://media/d4ac203ef7e34b459ef315bbeb7f4030" /></p> <p dir="ltr"><em>Will chose Jaimee. He told me he wasn’t with Jaimee and Jaimee was in contact with me before the reunion.</p> <p dir="ltr">“We’d started chatting online. (Then) I visited him at his house in Longwood and when our sexual relationship started. He told me he had feelings for me and I had feelings for him. From there, I saw him as often as I could, staying at his house for a few days at a time.”</p> <p dir="ltr">“I started my relationship with Farmer Will in December, before the reunion episode was filmed a few weeks later in January. I thought I could have that with him,” she wrote.</p> <p dir="ltr">Hayley claimed that another woman allegedly contacted her on Instagram to confess her feelings for Will.</p> <p dir="ltr">It was then, she says, she made the decision to end things.</p> <p dir="ltr">“On the 2nd April I left his house thinking, ‘I’m never coming back, I’m done.’ The next morning I found out I was 6 weeks pregnant. I’ve asked him to do all the appointments and he did come to the ultrasound.”</p> <p dir="ltr">“At the end of the day I have decided to keep the baby because I have enough love for this child with or without a biological father. I will be enough for him or her.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Hayley has also revealed why she decided to come forward and share her story: “I am speaking my truth before it gets misconstrued by the public and tabloids who don’t know the full story.”</p> <p dir="ltr">“This is my story to tell.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Farmer Will had been posting about his reality TV experience on Instagram and tagging 32-year-old paediatric nurse Jaimee.</p> <p dir="ltr">Since the finale has aired, he hasn’t shared any more posts with Jaimee.</p>

Eddie McGuire reveals Who Wants To Be A Millionaire contestant suspected of cheating

<div class="post_body_wrapper"> <div class="post_body"> <div class="body_text redactor-styles redactor-in"> <p>Eddie McGuire revealed the time he suspected a contestant of cheating on<span> </span><em>Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?</em><span> </span>and had security search the man for a wire.</p> <p>He shared the incident during an interview with Kyle and Jackie O on KIIS FM this morning.</p> <p>“I thought … absolutely something was wrong,” the game show host said.</p> <p>The contestant was the second person to win the million dollars on the Australian show, Martin Flood.</p> <p>“He just had this peculiar way of answering a question,” McGuire said. “He was going all over the place.”</p> <p>“We actually checked him to see if he had a wire on because we thought maybe he had somebody outside and he had a phone attached to his calf. It was just so odd what was going on.”</p> <p>Turns out Mr Flood was just nervous because he wanted to win.</p> <p>“He was fantastic and he’d relaxed,” the host said. “What we found out is that he (Mr Flood) took a year off work to study every question he could get his hands on from around the world. He also studied me for any ticks or any gives that I was giving.”</p> <p>Mr Flood agreed and shared the incident to the<span> </span><a rel="noopener" href="https://www.smh.com.au/national/nsw/where-are-they-now-who-wants-to-be-a-millionaire-s-20th-anniversary-20190418-p51fcd.html" target="_blank"><em>Sydney Morning Herald</em></a><span> </span>to explain how intense he was.</p> <p>“I watched every episode of every quiz show I could, I read many trivia books and I went to many trivia nights.</p> <p>“I could hardly chat with anyone without trying to turn the conversation to last week’s episode,” he said.</p> </div> </div> </div>

The Block contestants suffer from second tragedy

Do not worry about this,” he tells them.</p> <p>The gesture brought the couple to tears.</p> <p>“<em>The Block </em>is not easy, and then to have stuff like that going on … it’s hard,” George says.</p> <p>The show has been rife with drama as the show episodes catch up with the coronavirus lockdown, leaving interstate couples to decide a new course of action.</p> <p>“What are you going to do with your kids?” one couple is asked. “I’ll walk home if I have to,” another interstate contestant declares.</p> <p>On day 35, production can no longer continue and Scott Cam makes a tough announcement.</p> <p>“I’m sorry it’s come to this – I’m shutting it down now,” Scott Cam announces, as contestants are shown weeping.</p> </div> </div> </div>

The Voice contestants who made Delta Goodrem and Guy Sebastian cry

<div class="post_body_wrapper"> <div class="post_body"> <div class="body_text "> <p>The latest season of<span> </span><em>The Voice</em><span> </span>is tugging on the coach’s heartstrings as two of them break down while on set.</p> <p>The Blind Auditions continue after the start of season 9 and both Guy Sebastian and Delta Goodrem find themselves in the coach’s chairs.</p> <p>Guy Sebastian was particularly emotional as his younger brother Chris took to the stage for another chance at the title.</p> <p>Chris was on the first season of<span> </span><em>The Voice</em><span> </span>in 2012 and Guy said he felt the pressure of his younger brother competing.</p> <p>"I'm so close to my brothers, I would die for them," Guy, 38, tells <em><a rel="noopener" href="https://www.nowtolove.com.au/reality-tv/the-voice/the-voice-guy-sebastian-delta-goodrem-crying-64029" target="_blank">TV WEEK</a></em>.</p> <p>"We're such a tight family unit. That's why I was so nervous about Chris doing the show. He was approached last year, and after I had a year of being a coach, I knew it was a safe space for him to go back into."</p> <p>Guy was very emotional after his brother sang.</p> <p>"I was embarrassed by how I was after he sang," Guy says.</p> <p>"You get emotional, but then I was crying a bit too much and went into the ugly cry. Then it got weird for everyone, and it was like, 'OK, we get it – he's your brother.'"</p> <p>Delta also got emotional as All Star artist Jesse Teinaki returned to the show.</p> <p>"I felt such a connection to him," Delta, 35, says of Jesse, who was on her team in 2019, but wasn't taken through to the live rounds.</p> <p>"Jess is such beautiful person. I think he was one of the best auditions this year and it was very emotional.
