Police officer sought in connection to disappearance of two men

<p>A NSW police officer is sought in connection to the suspicious disappearance of two men, who haven't been heard from since Monday. </p> <p>Former Studio 10 host Jesse Baird and his boyfriend Luke Davies were last seen four days ago, with police launching an investigation into their disappearance. </p> <p>A number of their personal items, including a watch, clothes, credit cards and keys were found by a worker in Club Cronulla, with blood stains present on the items. </p> <p>Police have also searched two homes during their investigation - one in Balmain and one in Paddington - with officers "immediately" establishing a crime scene at the Paddington home after finding blood spatters. </p> <p>According to officers, a “significant” amount of blood consistent with a fatality and signs of a struggle were discovered inside Mr Baird’s Paddington home on Thursday afternoon. </p> <p>More personal items belonging to the couple were recovered from a skip bin 20 kilometres from the home in question. </p> <p>Police have called for Constable Beau Lamarre to come forward as part of their investigation, who is the ex-boyfriend of one of the men. </p> <p>Friends of Baird have revealed he previously expressed concerns he was being stalked by another man.</p> <p>Police confirmed on Thursday they wanted to speak to Constable Lamarre in relation to the case and were desperately trying to reach him.</p> <p>"Following inquiries, detectives are looking at a line of inquiry that a third person may be able to assist with the investigation," NSW Police said, in a statement.</p> <p>"Police are currently trying to locate him."</p> <p>Police have not said that the officer was involved in the disappearance, only that they would like to speak to him, as no arrest warrant has been issued.</p> <p><em>Image credits: Instagram </em></p>

<p dir="ltr">A man has been left reeling after his ex-girlfriend graffitied his expensive Mercedes after he cheated on her. </p> <p dir="ltr">The Melbourne man was about to leave his home when he saw the words “CHEATER” and “LIAR” spray painted in red on his Mercedes-Benz ML320.</p> <p dir="ltr">On the bonnet, the livid ex-girlfriend had also spray painted “ALL MEN R TRASH”.</p> <p dir="ltr">A neighbour who spotted the man’s shocked face joked that he had “pi**ed off the wrong person”.</p> <p dir="ltr">The man then jumped into his car and drove off, presumably to a car wash to help remove the graffiti. </p> <p dir="ltr">It's not quite the first time women have gotten back at their cheating partners by vandalising their cars. </p> <p dir="ltr">In 2018, an Adelaide woman spray painted the words “cheater”, “man wh***” and “sl**” on her ex-boyfriend's luxury $400,000 car.</p> <p dir="ltr">She also used a steel baseball bat and smashed the driver’s side window with such force that the mirror also fell off. </p> <p dir="ltr"><em>Images: Pedestrian TV</em></p>

Woman marries ex-boyfriend’s dad

<p dir="ltr">A woman who married her ex-boyfriend’s father in which there is a 24-year age gap has spoken out about how the exciting relationship came to be. </p> <p dir="ltr">Sydney Dean, 27, from Ohio was only in year 6 when she met her childhood boyfriend’s dad, Paul.</p> <p dir="ltr">Unfortunately, the relationship came to an end but Sydney and Paul’s son remained friends until he got another girlfriend in high school. </p> <p dir="ltr">Sydney felt like a third wheel and ended up speaking to Paul who she never “expected to fall in love with”.</p> <p dir="ltr">The pair began dating when Sydney turned 16, the legal age of consent in the state of Ohio before Paul proposed in 2016. </p> <p dir="ltr">It was difficult for the loved up couple to explain to family and friends that their relationship was real.</p> <p dir="ltr">“My mum already knew who Paul was and, from the few times they have talked, they got along just fine,” Sydney told Jam Press.</p> <p dir="ltr">“But when I first told my mum that we were together, she was not happy.</p> <p dir="ltr">“The age gap really got to her and it stayed that way for about a year [until] eventually she came around.” </p> <p dir="ltr">Sydney’s parents eventually grew to love Paul, with her mother visiting “all the time”. </p> <p dir="ltr">But it was rough on Paul’s youngest son who already “knew” Sydney who took the news the hardest.</p> <p dir="ltr">“He didn’t agree with the relationship for a couple of years,” Sydney said.</p> <p dir="ltr">“But now that we are married, he supports us being together.</p> <p dir="ltr">“He comes over with his girlfriend and their three children every other weekend just to hang out.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Sydney is hoping that her love story removes the stigma toward relationships with big age gaps. </p> <p dir="ltr">She said that Paul “is the best husband” and he treats her well. </p> <p dir="ltr"><em>Image: 7News/Jam Press</em></p>

Ian Thorpe’s ex-boyfriend’s family responds to vile rumours

<p>A close relative of Ian Thorpe’s ex-boyfriend Ryan Channing has slammed vile rumours claiming that the 32-year-old had HIV when he suddenly passed away in Bali.</p> <p>The only detail his family have confirmed pertaining to his passing is that it was not the result of Covid, although he was hospitalised in Sydney with the virus eight weeks ago.</p> <p>His skincare company, The Blaq Group, confirmed that Channing had been battling health issues for a few months prior to his death, but the nature of those issues remains unknown.</p> <p>Trolls took to Channing's Instagram page overnight on Wednesday to spread unverified rumours that he took his own life, and that he had the HIV virus.</p> <p>But Abbey Channing, a young relative, hit back - politely asking people not to “make assumptions about somebody's death”.</p> <p>The Blaq Group posted an emotional tribute on Thursday, remembering the 32-year-old for his “fun loving spirit”.</p> <p>“It is with heavy heart that we share the news that The Blaq Group founder, Ryan Channing, has passed away at the age of 32,” the tribute began.</p> <p>“Ryan had been battling with health issues over the past few months and died in hospital after being taken suddenly ill on Sunday May 8th whilst on holidays in Bali."</p> <p>“His inspiration led to the creation of highly regarded skincare brands, Flight Mode and Generation Skin as well as the flagship brand Blaq which strives to empower equality through its distinctive messages of acceptance and inclusivity.</p> <p>“His fun and loving spirit will be missed by all.</p> <p>“Rest In Peace, Ryan Channing.</p> <p>“August 31st 1989 - May 8th 2022.”</p> <p>A friend has shared that Channing, had been “battling health issues for some time”.</p> <p>Channing was the first long term boyfriend of former Olympic swimming champion Thorpe after coming out as gay and the two were in an on-again, off-again relationship for four years until they split for good in 2019.</p> <p>Channing's last Instagram post was a photo from Sydney's St Vincent's Hospital eight weeks ago after testing positive to the virus.</p> <p>A representative for Thorpe said his thoughts were with Ryan's family.</p> <p><em>Image: Instagram</em></p>

Ian Thorpe’s ex boyfriend dies

<p dir="ltr">Ian Thorpe’s first boyfriend after coming out has died after battling severe health issues.</p> <p dir="ltr">Ryan Channing, a model, lawyer and skincare brand creator from Perth, was at Bali’s BIMC Hospital on May 8 where he died.</p> <p dir="ltr">The 32-year-old’s friends confirmed the heartbreaking news to <a href="https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/entertainment/sydney-confidential/former-fiance-of-olympic-swimmer-ian-thorpe-ryan-channing-dies-suddenly-in-bali/news-story/15ee73f749abe38b31d10e1b140b7937" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Daily Telegraph</a> on Wednesday.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Everyone is distraught. It is just so sad and everyone is shocked,” a friend told the publication.</p> <p dir="ltr">The friend revealed that Channing had been “battling health issues” for a while.  </p> <p dir="ltr">Channing’s last Instagram post was of him at St Vincent’s Hospital after contracting Covid-19.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Covid got me GEWD. Thanks to the amazing nurses at @stvincentshospitalsydney,” his caption read with a selfie holding up the peace sign.</p> <p dir="ltr">It however remains unclear whether or not Covid contributed to his death.</p> <p dir="ltr">A representative for Ian Thorpe said ​​“thoughts are with Ryan’s family”.</p> <p dir="ltr">The skincare entrepreneur was Thorpe’s first boyfriend after he came out back in 2015.</p> <p dir="ltr">The pair were in an on-off relationship for about four years and were also engaged at one point before breaking it off completely in 2019. </p> <p dir="ltr"><em>Images: Instagram</em></p>

Woman’s investigation after finding a tampon in her boyfriend’s room goes viral

<p dir="ltr">A young woman on TikTok has gone viral after sharing the story of her investigation into the owner of an unused tampon in her boyfriend’s bedroom.</p> <p dir="ltr">Lois Sanders posted about finding a tampon and mascara underneath her boyfriend’s wardrobe, saying, “There's a tampon and a mascara under Finn's wardrobe and he's in denial that he's had a girl here.</p> <p dir="ltr">“I'm not even joking it's right there. Finn, her boyfriend, explained that being a university house, girls had lived in the room before he moved in.</p> <p dir="ltr">Ending on a happy note, Sanders said, “To this day, we’ll never know. He says it wasn’t him and I believe him and we actually are together to this day so very happy ending actually.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Many people were quick to praise Sanders for her investigative work, while others were taken aback by the “crazy behaviour” she exhibited. Mother and boyfriend “binge-watched” Netflix as 3-year-old died in hot car

<p>The mother of a three-year-old girl who was found dead after allegedly being left in a hot car during scorching temperatures has been released on bail.</p> <p>Laura Rose Peverill, 37, and her boyfriend of three months Aaron Hill, 29, both applied for bail at Townsville Magistrates Court on Monday following the death of Rylee Rose Black on Friday afternoon.</p> <p>The pair have been charged with the manslaughter of the toddler.</p> <p>Little Rylee was found unconscious in the backseat of her mother’s white Toyota Landcruiser Prado outside of their Burdell home.</p> <p>The young girl had allegedly been left in the locked vehicle for over five hours after she fell asleep on the morning school run.</p> <p><img style="width: 500px; height: 281.25px;" src="https://oversixtydev.blob.core.windows.net/media/7839007/rose-reykee.jpg" alt="" data-udi="umb://media/a81f0f630fa24c0f9831d0bb438b8cc7" /></p> <p>The court heard the couple had been inside the home binge-watching Shameless on Netflix while temperatures soared outside.</p> <p>Just before 3pm, Peverill allegedly realised Rylee had been in her booster and attempted CPR before taking her to Townsville University Hospital.</p> <p>However, it was simply just too late.</p> <p>Detective Senior Sergeant David Miles told reporters<span> </span>“Unfortunately (this was) a very preventable and unfortunate tragedy.”</p> <p>Peverill and Hill are expected to appear again in Townsville Magistrates Court on February 23.</p> <p>Rylee’s older three siblings are in the care of their biological father.</p> <p>Queensland Police on Monday have issued an appeal for anyone with dashcam footage to come forward to aid police in refining the timeline as they investigate the death.</p> <p>“It’s just a matter of us knowing that’s where the vehicle was, from our investigations, at different points during the day,” Miles said.</p>

<p>George Michael left out two of his former partners, Fadi Fawaz and Kenny Goss, in his AU$177 million will, it has been revealed.</p> <p>Fawaz and Goss were not listed as the beneficiaries of the late singer’s AU$177 million fortune, according to a five-page document obtained by <a rel="noopener" href="https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/9215982/george-michael-will-98m-nothing-fadi-fawaz-kenny-goss/" target="_blank"><em>The Sun</em></a>.</p> <p>Instead, Michael’s estate will be divided among his family and a few friends, with sisters Yioda and Melanie Panayiotou receiving a major portion. Michael’s 80-year-old father Kyriacos Panayiotou is also set to receive a horse-racing farm where he has lived for many years.</p> <p>“George was devoted to his dad and sisters, they were always going to be looked after,” an insider said.</p> <p>The will – which was made public on May 30 – also listed Michael’s backing singer Shirlie Kemp, record producer David Austin and five other friends as beneficiaries.</p> <p>However, Michael’s partner of 15 years, Goss, was left out along with Australian-born boyfriend Fawaz.</p> <p>60-year-old businessman Goss began dating Michael in 1996 before they split up in 2011.</p> <p>46-year-old hair stylist Fawaz and Michael started their relationship in 2012. </p> <p>Fawaz found the Wham! singer dead at his Oxfordshire home on Christmas Day 2016. “We were supposed to be going for Christmas lunch. Woman complains after boyfriend buys her a $2.3K engagement ring

<p>A bride-to-be has been criticised for complaining about the amount of money her boyfriend spent on her engagement ring.</p> <p>After finding his receipt, the woman took to <em>Mumsnet</em> to vent her frustration that he had only spent £1,300 (AU$2275) on her ring.</p> <p> "DP (Dear Partner) proposed and presented me with the ring he'd chosen - a diamond solitaire in white gold," read the post, which has since been deleted.</p> <p>"I was so happy and excited to accept but was disappointed when I first saw the ring. The first word that entered my head was 'small'.</p> <p>"There's nothing to dislike about the type of ring per se, as a diamond solitaire would have been my choice, but it's the whole thing - the colour of the gold, the setting, the small stone and relatively chunky shoulders.</p> <p>"His salary is nearing a six-figure sum and he's usually very generous. Having seen the receipt I know he paid £1,300 for it - which is a lot less than I would have imagined he would have spent on such a significant piece of jewellery."</p> <p>While some <em>Mumsnet</em> users agreed with the bride-to-be being disappointed, others were appalled at her complaint.</p> <p>"The cost is not as much of a factor but you must be happy with the look of the ring. Julie Bishop claims $32K in taxpayer-funded 'family travel' for long-term boyfriend

<p>Foreign Minister Julie Bishop’s use of taxpayer funds has <a href="/travel/international-travel/2017/10/julie-bishop-under-fire-over-expenses/" target="_blank"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">once again</span></strong></a> been called into question, with a <a href="https://www.smh.com.au/politics/federal/julie-bishop-defends-omission-of-boyfriend-from-parliamentary-records-20180223-p4z1hd.html" target="_blank"><strong><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Sydney Morning Herald</span></em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"> report</span></strong></a> suggesting she has claimed $32,000 worth of public money for her long-term partner David Panton to join her in her trips around the country between 2015 and 2017.</p> <p>Bishop named Panton as her designated family member in 2015, entitling him to free domestic flights and Comcar rides as part of MPs’ family reunification allowance.</p> <p>However, because property developer Panton is not Bishop’s spouse (nor are they in a “de facto” relationship), the Foreign Minister has never declared any claims for him on the parliamentary register of interests.</p> <p>As a result, unlike MPs with husbands or wives, information regarding Panton’s income, savings, trust funds, loans, mortgages, properties, shareholdings, directorships, gifts and hospitality valued at $300 or more can remain secret.</p> <p>In the first six months of 2015, it’s alleged that the Sydney-based Panton claimed close to $10,000 in flights and car rides, including over $3,000 worth of flights to and from Perth, where Bishop lives.</p> <p>“David Panton is the Minister’s nominated person for the purpose of domestic travel,” a spokesperson for Bishop told the <a href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5443879/Julie-Bishop-claimed-32-000-family-travel.html" target="_blank"><em><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Daily Mail</span></strong></em></a>. “The Minister is compliant with the Register of Interests.”</p> <p>Panton has also accompanied Bishop on several overseas trips, however the minister has never claimed taxpayer funds to pay for her partner’s international travel.</p> <p>Do you think it's outrageous that Julie Bishop's long-term boyfriend gets all his travel expenses paid for by taxpayer funds? Tell us in the comments below.</p>

“I am not Olivia Newton-John’s missing ex-boyfriend”

<p>Wes Stobbe wants the world to know he is not Olivia Newton-John’s missing former boyfriend, Patrick McDermott.</p> <p>The Canadian woodworker and pub owner has been forced to set the record straight after seeing their faces on the covers and in pages of tabloids and gossip websites all around the world, including New Idea in Australia and The National Enquirer in the US.</p> <p>“I am not Patrick McDermott,” Stobbe, 63, laughed in an interview with AAP from his home in Manitoba, Canada.</p> <p>“Do I look German?” Shaw added.</p> <p><img width="448" height="291" src="https://imagesvc.timeincapp.com/v3/mm/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpeopledotcom.files.wordpress.com%2F2018%2F01%2Fwes-stobbe-1.jpg%3Fw%3D2000&amp;w=800&amp;q=85" style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"/></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><em>Wes Stobbe has been forced to set the record straight that he is not Patrick McDermott. </em></p> <p>Stobbe’s wife Bridget Shaw would also like the world to know she is not McDermott’s “mystery woman” or “German lover”.</p> <p>Stobbe and Shaw regularly visit the Mexican seaside paradise of Sayulita. Bindi Irwin opens about boyfriend: "Dad would have loved him"
