Kerri-Anne braves cameras for the first time since husband’s death

Kerri-Anne Kennerley has appeared for the first time since the tragic death of her late husband John Kennerley and looked stunning.

The Australian media powerhouse put on a brave face for the cameras on Tuesday, following her husband's death in February, for the opening night of the Saturday Night Fever musical, at the Sydney Lyric Theatre.

Opting for a bright, colourful '70s look, the 65-year-old journalist went with an orange sequinned top and high-waisted trousers with a flare.

Returning to her morning gig at Studio 10 last month, the screen siren carried a glamorous Chanel handbag and wore platform heels to accessorise her bold ensemble.

John, 78, passed away in late February from a fatal spell of pneumonia, after he was left paralysed from the neck down after a serious fall in 2016.

Returning to Studio 10 last month, Kerri-Anne revealed she was “shocked” over her dear husband's death, admitting she believed she had more time with him.

“The hole it leaves in your life, it's so painful. It's a hole that will never be filled,” she explained, clutching a tissue in her hand.

“It was a shock because I thought I would have John for many, many, many years to come. It was a terrible shock.

“It's not fair, but life happens.”
