How did this cockatoo get stuck behind a car grille?

How did this cockatoo get stuck behind a car grille?

A lucky corella had to be rescued from behind the grille of a car earlier this week. The car’s driver revealed he had accidentally hit the bird, a member of the cockatoo family on his way to work. When he reached his destination five-km down the road, he discovered the bird wedged between his car’s radiator and grille. It’s still unknown exactly how the bird came to be wedged in there.

The Country Fire Brigade was called in to perform a rescue, which only took about five minutes. Luckily, the bird escaped with only a minor injury to his leg, but was taken to a local vet for a quick checkup.
