Watch: A baby elephant collapse on the road and an elephant herd save the day

We love seeing nature in action, and this wonderful video is no exception. The footage was shot in South Africa’s Kruger National Park when a herd of elephants stopped traffic as they crossed the road. One of the younger members of the herd can be seen slowly collapsing to the ground, eventually lying flat on its side. The rest of the herd return to protect the youngster, eventually helping it back onto its feet so they can trundle away. It is unknown what made the elephant collapse, but it seemed to be in good spirits once it was helped back up, so it may have been tired, or perhaps it tripped on its feet.
