Duchess Kate's stunning red carpet look: From royalty to Hollywood

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were in attendance of the annual BAFTA Awards in London for the third year in a row – making a glamorous entrance as they waved to fans outside the Royal Albert Hall.

The ceremony was not short of any dazzling celebrities last night, as Cate Blanchett, Margot Robbie, Claire Foy and Melissa McCarthy were just a few of the stars in attendance.

Duchess Kate looked angelic in a stunning white off-the-shoulder gown with a flowing skirt and floral embellishments. She wore her hair in an elegant up do for the glamorous event, adding a heartfelt tribute to her mother-in-law.

The Duchess accessorised the beautiful Alexander McQueen gown with a white clutch and pear and silver drop earrings that were once owned by Princess Diana.

Diana famously wore the stunning earrings in 1995 while accepting the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation’s Humanitarian of the Year Award.

The Duchess’ heart-warming honour of her late mother-in-law did not go unnoticed by fans, who took to Twitter to appreciate the earrings.

Meanwhile, Prince William, who is the president of the BAFTA, went for a simple look alongside his shining wife, looking handsome in a black tuxedo and white pocket square.

A number of Hollywood starlets rubbed shoulders with the British royalty, including Australia’s very own Margot Robbie and Cate Blanchett.

Other famous actresses who added every bit of glamour to the BAFTAs include Glenn Close, Rachel Weisz, Amy Adams and Salma Hayek.
