Shocking moment flight attendant falls from plane
A flight attendant is currently suffering major injuries after falling from an aeroplane during boarding.
Getting ready to board the Air India flight that was departing for Delhi on Monday morning, Harsha Lobo, 52, fell from the aircraft and was taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.
“She is conscious and well-orientated but has sustained compound (open) fracture of right lower leg bones and multiple blunt injuries,” told an airport official to The Hindu newspaper.
An investigation is underway by Air India as they try and find out how the incident occurred.
“In an unfortunate incident, one of our cabin crew, Harsha Lobo, fell down on the tarmac from the Boeing-777 aircraft door while closing it,” they said.
Worryingly, this isn’t the first time an accident like this has occurred.
Only last year, a China Eastern Airlines flight attendant fell from a Boeing 737-800 at Shenzhen Bao’ International Airport in Guangdong China. The accident caused multiple injuries, including fractured bones and bruises.
