If you’re travelling as a pair, choose the aisle and window seats when booking. If no one takes the middle seat you end up getting the full row to yourselves.
Worst case scenario, if someone does end up taking the middle seat as if they’d feel comfortable switching seats, and you’ll still be able to sit next to your partner.
