This popular holiday destination just banned the selfie stick

Travellers will have to find a new way to document their trip to a European city after Milan announced it would be officially banning the selfie stick.

The new regulations, which came into effect last Friday, also targets food trucks and the sale of drinks in glass bottles or cans and are designed to cut down on anti-social and rowdy behaviour in summer months.

The ban is currently a temporary one that runs until August 13th, but Milan’s councillor for security Carmela Rozza said there would be a possibility of renewing the regulation.

Rozza told English-language Italian news publication, The Local the regulation, “will continue until it is needed”.

What are your thoughts? Do you think this is political correctness gone mad? Or is the city well within its rights to instigate the ban?
