We're finally going to see Archie! Prince Harry and Meghan announce “first official tour as a family”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced their very first tour together as a family of three.

In a media statement, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have confirmed speculation that they will be heading to Africa in the UK Autumn along with their tiny tot, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.

The newest addition to the royal family is set to make waves in South Africa, however, Harry will undertake a number of solo engagements in Angola, Malawi and Botswana.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will undertake an official visit to South Africa this Autumn at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office,” Buckingham Palace confirmed in a statement.

While the exact date of the trip has not been announced, the pair said they were “excited” to meet so many local members and communities.

Prince Harry, along with his brother Prince William, have travelled extensively throughout Africa and are closely involved in efforts to protect the continent’s wildlife.

The Duke is patron to a charity helping children in Lesotho.

Africa maintains to be a special place for the royal couple, both reportedly falling in love after Prince Harry invited Meghan on a five-day camping trip to Botswana during the early days of their courtship.

“We camped out with each other under the stars, sharing a tent and all that stuff. It was fantastic,” the Prince said in their interview together confirming their engagement in 2017.
