Flight narrowly misses crash landing in gale-force winds
If you’re a nervous flyer, you might want to look away. The terrifyingly shaky landing of a KLM flight in gale-force winds has been caught on camera, and it’s enough to make even the most seasoned traveller’s stomach churn.
The Boeing 777 from Tokyo was due to touch down at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport when it was rocked by violent gale-force winds just 20 metres before landing.
Flight KL862 can be seen aggressively shaking as it prepares for landing, finally skidding onto the tarmac, producing plumes of smoke as the brakes are engaged.
