As we roll into the second half of the year, July is the perfect time to sit back, relax, take stock of life’s little victories and finally take that well-earned holiday.

Perfect for travellers looking to unwind in a laid back atmosphere, Isla Holbox is home to abundant wildlife and at this time of year perfect for whale shark swimming.

3. Vancouver, Canada

One of Canada’s most beautiful cities, Vancouver springs to life in July as the city plays host to a number of music festivals including the International Jazz Festival.

4. Lake Geneva, Switzerland

Trade your skis for a pair of hiking boots when you visit Lake Geneva in July, with bountiful vineyards creeping up the sloped terraces of Western Europe’s largest lake.

July is generally considered low season for tourists in South Africa, and while the temperatures drop a bit you’ll enjoy not having to contend with crowds at the big attractions.
