Huge pay day: Kyle and Jackie O sign biggest media deal in Australian history

Kyle and Jackie O have signed a contract which is believed to be the biggest media deal in Australian history.

The radio hosts have extended their contracts with KIIS FM – which is owned by Australian Radio Network (ARN) – in a deal that will ensure they remain on air until the end of 2024.

According to news.com.au, the contract states that Kyle and Jackie O will receive between $7-8 million each per year.

That means, they are getting paid an enormous $39,000 each per three-and-a-half-hour show.

The two are said to have negotiated their contracts separately and have parity when it comes to their base salaries. But it’s believed that they negotiated their individual allowances in relation to survey and revenue performance.

News.com.au states that Kyle could be taking home close to $50 million from the new deal by the end of 2024.

But Kyle remained tight lipped about his pay rise, telling news.com.au, “I don’t discuss the absurd amount of money I get given to do something I love”.

“Don’t get me wrong, the money’s fantastic, but what really counts for me is the acknowledgement that what Jackie and I have created is one of the most successful shows on earth,” he said.

The Kyle and Jackie O Show is the number one FM breakfast show in Sydney with an 11.6 per cent audience share.
