Sigrid Thornton's home crowned most popular in the country
Sigrid Thornton’s home was the most viewed property of 2022 after it was listed for sale.
The Sea Change star and her husband Tom Burstall moved into the historic home on 2 Carroll Street, in North Melbourne, Victoria in 1977.
The stunning four bedroom, two bathroom house was the most-viewed property of the year across the country as well as topping the most-viewed property for 2022 in Victoria.
When the pair listed the stunning home for sale earlier this year, people thought they were “crazy”.
"It wasn't gentrified, but we didn't worry about that. We found this building, and we loved it," Thornton told Domain.
With a price guide between $3.8 million to $4.1 million, the house went up for auction on October 22.
The lucky new homeowner won the bid at $3.9 million before once again being listed for private sale. It is not available anymore.
