Target recall: Fears of glass contamination in popular Christmas gift

A three-pack of flavoured nuts has been recalled by Food Standards Australia and New Zealand on January 3.

There were fears the product had “potential presence of glass fragments,” according to Food Standards.

Target Australia has pulled the “Modern Gourmet Spicy Beer Nuts” from all its shelves, including Target Country.

The product, flavoured nuts packaged in three small glass bottles, was on sale between the 17th of November to the 27th of December.

“Do not consume this product,” a Target statement said.

Any affected products have a best before date before the date of June 3rd, 2019.

Anyone who has purchased the product has been urged to return it to a Target store immediately, where a refund will be issued.
