Starry night: Karl and Jasmine Stefanovic steal the show at gala event
Karl and Jasmine Stefanovic turned heads last night at an exclusive event in Sydney.
The rare appearance was noticed by many when the married couple hit the red carpet at the annual invite-only Gold Dinner at Fox Studios.
Both Karl and Jasmine have kept their relationship relatively low-profile since Karl was dumped as co-host on the Today show last year.
Those invited to the grand event are required to pay $1500 per head and Karl’s emergence into the public eye for the first time in awhile is not for any cheap reason.
The former breakfast TV host is a member of the new-look Gold committee – with othe members including Julie Bishop and low-profile billionaire Monica Sunders-Weinberg.
The dinner is unlike any other charity event and is deemed the “most exclusive gala in Australia".
Now in its 22nd year, the high-end event has raised over $26 million for paediatric healthcare for the Sydney Children’s Hospital.
During the dinner, guests are invited to bid on a series of experiences in a live auction.
One of the most interesting and talked-about experiences included was Confessions of a Former Foreign Minister, which involved a private lunch or dinner for 10 in either Bistro Guillaume’s private dining room or your home with Julie Bishop, while Guillaume Brahimi, one of Australia’s most popular chefs, prepares the special meal.
