Scott Morrison slammed after explosive interview with Waleed Aly

The Project viewers took to social media to note one key aspect of the testy exchange between Scott Morrison and Waleed Aly – The Prime Minister’s “aggressive” body language.

The Prime Minister’s office accused The Project of defamation, after Aly stated that the PM once suggested exploiting Muslims for political gain – the two then came head to head on last night’s episode in a special 30-minute commercial free edition of the show.

Viewers who tuned in on the special segment took to Twitter and Facebook to comment on the politician’s apparent frustration during the interview, in which he could be seen slouching back in his chair and crossing his legs.

While Aly questioned him about the Coalition’s views on Muslims, many interpreted Morrison’s body language as “aggressive” and felt he came off as somewhat of a “bully.”

Social media users were divided on who appeared stronger throughout the segment, with some commending the Prime Minister’s refusal to “back down” against Aly’s “dribbling” interview.

“To me that means he’s not intimidated by his interviewer,” Pamela Johnson wrote.

Isaac Ryan added: “Now sitting comfortably is against the law according to leftist thinkers.”
