Sam Armytage shocks Sunrise co-hosts with raunchy slip of the tongue on live TV

A racy slip of the tongue has left Samantha Armytage and her Sunrise co-hosts in a fit of giggles.

On Tuesday morning, the breakfast show presenter was introducing a segment featuring weather reporter Sam Mac when she mispronounced his location, Cook Islands.

“Sam Mac, you’ve had a humdinger this morning in the Cock I…” she trailed off before realising her mistake and breaking into a cackle. “Cock Islands.”

“Cook Islands,” co-host David Koch corrected while the camera flashed to show the amused reaction of newsreader Natalie Barr and sports reporter Mark Beretta.

Sam Mac, who was on the other end of the live cross gave a cheeky response. “I can either pretend that that didn’t just happen or I could just enjoy it,” Mac said.

Armytage said her slip-up might bring the segment under the spotlight on ABC’s media comment show Media Watch.

“Oh no, I’m going to end up on Media Watch,” she said while still chuckling, to which Sam Mac responded, “That might actually happen … Hey ABC!”
