Queen’s guard gives tourist the fright of his life
Her Majesty’s guardsmen are the picture of stoicism. Getting a reaction out of these bearskin-hat-toting security staff is generally about as easy as drawing blood from a stone. But if today’s clip is anything to go by, it can be done.
Oh, and it helps to be an obnoxious tourist.
The video starts with two guards standing at attention outside St James’ Palace in Central London. A tourist walks into shot and starts singing and dancing like an absolute goose.
Then this happens:
Shouting in a heavy, thick Scottish accent one of the guards says, “Halt! Get yerself away!”
The tourist looks visibly shocked before the guard bellows, “Turn the camera off!”
He doesn’t need to be told twice, and scampers away with his tail in between his legs. It seems a little harsh, but to be fair thetourist was acting like a Wally.
