Queen knights grandson, Prince Harry, in private ceremony
His grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, knighted Prince Harry late last week.
“The Queen has been pleased to make the following appointment to the Royal Victorian Order: to be a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, HRH Prince Henry of Wales,” the palace said in a short statement.
The Royal Victorian Order is given by the Queen to people who have served herself of the british monarchy “in a personal way.”
No photos were released of the private ceremony that occurred at Buckingham Palace on Thursday evening.
