Qantas getting rid of window shutters
Qantas will get rid of window shutters on some of their flights so passengers can have an undisturbed sleep on long flights.
The electronically dimmable windows will have five levels of darkness that passengers and flight attendants can adjust.
The new system will stop light from entering the plane but will still allow for passengers to see the view outside the window.
The windows will feature on Qantas’ 787-9 Dreamliners that will begin taking international flights from December.
The airline has ordered eight planes that will have this new system installed.
