Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan aren’t the only royals visiting Australia next month

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan aren’t the only royalty set to sail our shores next month. The newlyweds will be heading to Sydney in late October to launch the Invictus Games – and royal insiders reveal that joining them will be Denmark’s Prince Frederik and Princess Mary.

Princess Mary – who was born in Tasmania – is known to regularly make trips to Australia to visit friends and family.

It is reported that Frederik and Mary will be attending a number of events during the Invictus Games alongside Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan. The games, which will run from October 20 to 27, will give Mary and Meghan plenty to talk about as their transition to royal life is similar.

Other star-studded guests include royal wedding attendees David and Victoria Beckham, who will be accompanied by their four children, due to David’s new role as an Invictus Games ambassador.

Kensington Palace released a statement in June announcing that the Duke and Duchess’s tour will include four locations.

The statement read: “Their Royal Highnesses have been invited to visit the Realms of Australia and New Zealand by the countries’ respective governments. Duke and Duchess will visit the Commonwealth countries of Fiji and Tonga at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.”

More details on their schedule will be released closer to their arrival.
