Prince Charles and Camilla's Aussie 'love child': "Princess Diana knew about my birth"
A man in Queensland, Australia, who claims that he is the secret love child of Prince Charles and Camilla has spoken out again in a new interview. Simon Dorante-Day, 52, was born in Gosport in April 1966 and adopted at 18 months old by a British couple.
Over the years, Dorante-Day has claimed that he was put up for adoption at the time by 18-year-old Camilla Shand.
A new interview with New Idea has Dorante-Day saying that Princess Diana knew about his birth and that she was preparing to go public with the information before her death in 1997.
“At the time, there were all sorts of rumours flying around about the royal family, and my existence was one of them.
“I think Diana was at a point where she was finding out answers about her life, how she was wronged, and she was going to go public with it,” Dorante-Day explained.
Dorante-Day also runs a Facebook page, under the name of PrinceSimonCharles, where he posts photos of his family to further support his claims of being the love-child of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall.
The caption reads: “Noticed yesterday someone had commented on my facial bone structure being the same as Her Maj on a tiny photo i'd uploaded to this page. Came across this photo tonight of My adopted sister and Grandparents (Winifred and Ernest) and I thought you'd appreciate the share - Good quality shot - the Camilla style Hair doesn't miss.”
Some commenters claim to see the resemblance, with one poster saying: “William looked a bit like you at this age.”
However, others admit that they can’t see it. Some are blunt and straight to the point, saying “nope nothing alike” whereas others are more thorough in their claims, with one commenter saying:
“I really don’t see any resemblance at all to any of the royal family. I even took my glasses off and put phone up to my face. Nope, still nothing.”
Dorante-Day’s adoptive parents formerly worked for the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh in the royal household and that they believed he was the love child of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall.
"[My grandmother] didn’t just hint at it, she told me outright," Mr Doronte-Day said.
