Priest moves to small town and finds his “twin” living there

When Neil Richardson, a retired priest, moved to the town of Braintree in Essex, England, 18 months ago, he couldn’t fathom why people were greeting him like they knew him.

Even stranger was the fact that they were calling him “John.”

The truth was, people were mistaking Mr Richardson for long-time resident and former teacher John Jemison, who is well known within the community.

A chance encounter on a coach to London brought the two men, who look remarkably alike, face-to-face. After chatting at length, Mr Richardson and Mr Jemison have discovered just how similar they are. They share political opinions, theological views, both write poetry, and enjoy singing in choirs. They even studied at the same school – the College of St Mark.
