Poh’s vets gave him months to live, so his human took him on a grand trip to make those months count

When vets told Thomas Neil Rodriguez that his 15-year-old dog, Poh, could only be expected to live for another few months, he decided to make sure those last months were special. Rodriguez and his fiance set out from his New York home for a cross-country journey that would make his time with his mate memorable.

Rodriguez set up an Instagram account to document his trip with Poh, who was a former rescue puppy, and it soon caught the attention of dog-lovers around the globe. Together, the small family travelled over 19,000 kilometres in seven weeks, visiting 35 cities on their way to California and the Pacific Ocean.

Travelling in a special green buggy for some of their outings, Poh reportedly loved the trip, especially splashing around in the ocean.

As of today, Poh is still enjoying his time with his family, ready for new adventures.
