Why Pippa Middleton will one day receive a noble title of her own

It seems it’s not only her big sister Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, who will have a fancy title in the Middleton family.

While younger sibling Pippa, 34, did not marry a member of the British Royal Family, it turns out her husband, James Matthews, will one day receive a noble title of his own – and being his wife, so will Pippa.

James’ hedge fund manager father, David Matthews, purchased a castle in Scotland 10 years ago, on the 10,000-acre Glen Affric estate.

Along with the purchase of the historic castle in the Scottish Highlands came the titles of Laird and Lady Glen Affric.

Which means that James, 42, will one day inherit his parents’ estate, and he and Pippa will also receive the official titles of Laird and Lady.

In the meantime, the couple – who recently confirmed they are expecting their first child together – will be able to use the “courtesy titles” of Mr and Mrs Matthews of Glen Affric, which is reportedly quite elite across the Commonwealth.
