Stunning photos of glowing fireflies

Who needs a jar when you have a camera? In this beautiful set of long exposure photos, photographer Tsuneaki Hiramitsu captures the illusive glow of hundreds of fire flies in a dark-lit forest. The photographer has been snapping the fireflies for years.

The process in creating these photos is comprised of two main parts: first Hiramitsu captures the images in 8-second long exposure photos, which are then combined, producing these romantic, mysterious scenes that look straight out of a fairy tale.
