Lisa Wilkinson called out for her "privilege"

A young woman has called out Lisa Wilkinson's privileged treatment from Channel Ten that has seen her quietly leave Australia and continue working in the US in the wake of her controversial Logies speech.

Wilkinson came under fire after mentioning the details of a court case during her speech, resulting in the trial being rescheduled.

The Project co-host secretly flew to Los Angeles, posting a photo outside the Hotel California several days ago, revealing she would be conducting a series of interviews while there.

She has since been called out by an outspoken young woman who goes by 'GoWokeGoBroke' online, who claimed the TV host has been treated with "privilege" by Channel Ten.

"I see a lot of privilege in this Lisa Wilkinson story,' she said.

"She's been given leave, I assume paid, and now it has been revealed that she has been given extended leave, and has been relocated to the United States where she is going to file some fluffy entertainment stories.

"If this was anyone else, they would not be given all these privileges - they would be fired from their job, and that would be it."

Wilkinson is reportedly spending time in Hollywood and New York, where she will be interviewing "musicians and A-list film stars" for upcoming episodes of The Project.

The Australian's Media Diary column reported that the 62-year-old would also be using annual leave on the trip and will be away from the Channel 10 studio for a month more than expected.
