Karl Stefanovic gushes over new love Jasmine Yarbrough
It’s been just a year since Today show co-host Karl Stefanovic split from his wife of 21 years, Cassandra Thorburn, but the 43-year-old has already found love again in 33-year-old fashion designer Jasmine Yarbrough.
Speaking candidly to the Daily Telegraph, Stefanovic gushed about his girlfriend of 10 months.
“There is a lot of love in my life,” he said. “She’s a very strong and passionate person.”
The Gold Logie winner reportedly met Yarbrough, who runs her own clothing label Mara & Mine in Los Angeles, at a party shortly after he announced his split. “She has her own world, her own business and her own direction. And I am happy to support her in any way I can.”
However, Stefanovic admitted Yarbrough has been struggling with the intense media attention surrounding their romance. “She is aware of the publicity and I don’t think it is easy,” he said.
“She is back from LA now. It is one step at a time and it’s about doing whatever we do in a respectful way. Life is good, we are moving forward, taking baby steps. Hopefully it will be great for everyone.”
He also confessed the reason why he missed his Today co-host Lisa Wilkinson’s “second wedding”, revealing he was supporting Yarbrough during a fashion show in Paris. “Mara & Mine had a show in Paris and I was there carrying the bags."
