In pictures: Japan’s spectacular flower fields

Every year from April to June, millions of moss phlox flowers bloom across Japan. There’s even a festival to celebrate these beautiful flowers, called the Fuji Shibazakura Festival. Unsurprisingly, Shibazakura means “pink moss” or “moss phlox” in Japanese.
