“I was being bullied and shut down”: Pauline Hanson lashes out at Kochie and Sunrise team

Pauline Hanson has not held back as she has delivered a three-minute video on her Facebook page outlining her treatment on the breakfast show Sunrise.

Yesterday saw Hanson and presenter David Koch get into an argument about whether or not her party’s rhetoric is like the one involved in the 87-page manifesto of the shooter in the Christchurch attacks.

Derryn Hinch was also on the Sunrise segment and didn’t give Hanson a chance to explain her argument.

In the video, she seems to speak directly to her audience.

“Your comments suggested you thought I was being bullied and shut down, it was an ambush,” Hanson said with anger.

“I felt that way too because I haven't been able to explain myself properly and answer the questions. I know how you feel because you feel exactly the same way and you feel you don't have a voice.”

Hanson then goes on to question whether or not Kochie has read her party’s immigration policies.

“Do they really understand? I don't think they do. They're quick to criticise me but when I get out and speak to people, I know how you feel because I feel exactly the same way,' she said.

“People in our society are in fear of the ever-changing society that we live in. I do not condone the terrorist attack.”

“My heartfelt sympathies go out to the people who have lost their lives and their loved ones, the same as I did for all of the other terrorist attacks that happened throughout the world,” Ms Hanson said.

“My comments are purely based on let's find the reasons behind these terrorist attacks. Don't shut down debate. Give the people an opportunity to have their say.”

The video has since attracted more than 280,000 views and has many comments declaring their support for Hanson.

One commenter agreed saying, “They both owe you an apology. Don’t feed their egos anymore, refuse to appear on Sunrise until they publicly apologise to you”.

Another said that they now know why their partner stopped watching Sunrise.

“My partner refuses to watch Sunrise because of Kochie. Never took much notice. Today I realised why. He wasn’t doing his job properly. It wasn’t his place to debate.”

Many were quick to commend Hanson for not losing control.

“You did good girl, those two should be ashamed of themselves,” one commenter said.
