Footage captures horror crash with mother and daughters in car
A mother will face court after being accused of drunk driving with her three daughters in the car.
The woman was captured in footage ploughing into a home in a horror car crash.
Ashley Thomas-Smith, 34, allegedly lost control of her vehicle and smashed into the home on Long Island, New York, on Sunday evening.
CCTV from the scene, seen in the video above, broadcasted the car flying through the front yard, before crashing into the house.
The footage showed the vehicle only coming to a complete stop in a neighbouring backyard.
The 34-year-old and her daughters - aged four, five and eight - were quickly taken to hospital.
Thomas-Smith was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The girls were not injured and were released into the custody of their father.
The mother has been charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while drunk with a child passenger 15-years-old or younger and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
